Saw this product on an IG reel. I went to the website to make it was real. It is a real company. While on the website I wanted to make sure it would work on my vehicle which is a 2008 Nissan Xterra. I saw that Nissan was in the list of compatible vehicles but not my car model. I emailed the company and they were quick to reply back. The company rep asked if my vehicle had self-tinting rear view mirror and to take a picture of the back of the mirror. Once again they responded quickly with a link to the right dongle. I did order it through Amazon so I can have it delivered quickly. It took less than two minutes to install with little wire management required. One small zip tie for wire management is recommended in my opinion. It works great. This product is great if you do not want wires hanging, if you do not want to deal with running a power wire through your vehicle, and if your auxiliary outlets do not work(which this is my case). It powers my front and rear dash cam. Great product.

Just got it installed, but so far it’s working great. Took only like 1-2mins to install the adapter. Exactly what I wanted and everything is working as it should. I went with Dongar even at the higher price because of the well known reputation and the fact it said it actually included surge protection—although I don’t actually know whether that feature is substantial/effective enough to warrant opting for it. I will try to update this review after it’s been tested longer and maybe include some photos. It’s very discreet and completely unnoticeable from either outside or inside of the vehicle. The short USB cable I connected to the adapter was able to be tucked into the headliner. This adapter made installation a breeze and seems to be well worth the investment. I’m happy I went with Dongar instead of manually tapping the mirror cable or choosing a cheaper alternative simply for the peace of mind. A mirror or its cable can sometimes be an expensive thing to replace in case of mistake. Very minor complaint: I was pleased to find that it came with 3 very high quality 6in USB cables (USB-A, C, and Micro) however they were far too short to be useful for me even though my dash cam was installed right next to the mirror. Thankfully I had a good 12in cable in a drawer that I used instead, but I do wish they had just included a little longer ones instead.

Use this to power a dash cam on a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer. Worked great. Kinda a pain to get everything tied up behind the rearview mirror, but that comes with the this type of adapter.

Easy install. Cleaned all the hanging wires.

Works great. My dash camera has 3 lines (power,GPS and rear camera). It was tough to hide that many cables along the top of the windshield. This worked great and allowed my to tap into the mirror power, so I only needed to run the line for GPS and rear cam, which was much easier and cleaner look. The USB plug sticks out a bit further from the mirror than I would have preferred but still better than running another cord all the way to the lighter plug (or fuse box). Super easy to install. Simply unplug the cord in the back of the mirror. Then plug the cord into this, and then this into the mirror. Maybe took 5 minutes just because the adaptor had a pretty snug fit and I didn’t want to break the plastic. Totally plug and play and an easy way to get power to a dash cam.

Exactly what I needed to hard wire a dash cam in my 2019 Toyota 4 runner. A little more expensive than other brands but I have used them in other vehicles and never had an issue. Works well and very easy to install.

Easy plug and play adapter. Used this on my 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL and it was simply unplug the wiring from the rear view mirror and plug into this new on and then plug this new back into the rear view while allowing another wire to hang which had a USB port. I used this port for my Dashcam without issues and now turning the car on or off the dashcam powers on and off accordingly. No issues so far, wires nicely done, nothing is loose. Can't get any easier than this. Recommended for sure.

works perfect in our 2006 chevy Colorado z71 4x4 Crew cab short box. The power wire behind the rear view mirror fit perfect into the adapter making it easy to use my new dash cam without any power wires hanging all over the place 🤩

Quick and painless install on my 2016 Nissan Frontier SV. Powers on and runs my Viofo A119 Mini 2 dash cam perfectly. If you don't need Parking mode enabled on your camera, install this to avoid the hassle of running wires to your fuse box or cigarette lighter.

I am always about cautious about after-market add-ons, but this adaptor to the power mirror (auto dim) actually worked as claimed. It was a tight fit at the back of the mirror, but it did fit. Now there is no power cord draped around or across the windshield, and the dashcam works !

If you have a rear view mirror that is powered with auto dimmng this product is great. Did not have to run the cables to the DC port. Glad I bought this for our new 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV..easily installed and works perfectly with our dashcam!
