I bought this remote to use with my Sony FX30, and it was a little bit of a chore to get working. At first the Sony FX30 paired with the remote almost immediately. But... after 10-20 seconds the remote would not work, and I would have to re-pair it with my Sony FX30. It just would not stay connected. Well, after some research I found that the latest firmware of my FX30 was not compatible to this remote, many people were having this same problem, the remote will not stay connected to the Sony FX30. The Answer!!! I also found that Aodelan knows about this problem and has fixed it with a newer firmware update. So, if you have a Sony FX30 with the latest firmware update and this remote is not working, go to Aodelan support and download the latest firmware update for this remote. I downloaded the firmware, installed it and it works great with my Sony FX30. FYI... You will see a C USB connection at the base of this remote. Take care my friends.

Simple and gets the job done. It connected to my Sony A7C very quickly and wasn't a hassle to use. It's very lightweight and I would say ranks average on durability. I wish you didn't have to be pointing directly at the camera as I was using this for group photos, but I understand with these devices that is typical, won't knock the review for it. Great product.

First step will be before pairing the device bluetooth with the remote,it's important to first go to NETWORK 2 and turn on the *bluetooth remote ctrl ON*if you don't that it will just pair but the remote won't function.So do the first step first and violaaaa it's working!!so far so good everything seems to work!

Pairs with the camera but doesn't take pictures. Red light flashes when I push the shutter release button.

hard to set at first you have to scroll trough your menus and enable Bluetooth and your remote infrared as well otherwise it wont work basically its easy once its setup . i used it so far twice and it works. i dont know yet if it works for period longer than 10 minutes cause i did not have a chance to test it signal might drops if you leave your camera off and then you have to setup back all setting again. i wish they had a better remote system with a jogger wheel but Sony original one does look better so i guess it does the job my rating is between 3.5 and 4. i wont use it for live event cause i dont think its that reliable but for product photography or home videos it should be great.

I got this to do long exposures with my Sony A7Riv. I paid $39.99, which was a substantial savings over the Sony brand Bluetooth remote. Once I got it synced to my camera, it has worked every time without needing to resync, even after weeks of my camera being off. I wish it had more functions, like a joystick to move focus without touching the camera (since the Sony A7Riv does not have focus bracketing) or a timer (since the Sony A7Riv does not show a timer in bulb mode). But it does what it's designed to do and it does it very well. If you're wondering whether it makes sense to buy this instead of the Sony brand one, in my opinion it absolutely makes sense!

I have been working with this remote for a while now and i think i’m ready now to Review it. IS VEEERY GOOD!! I do Real Estate photography and many times when i have to do photos of bedrooms with long Mirrors i had to click the shutter button and then run to get me out of the shot. This remote helped me so much. I even go out of the room to take the picture. Once i set it up with my Sony FX3 it doesn’t disconnect and is ready everytime. I actually recommended to my colleague and he’s using it too. I highly recommend it.
