Frangipani Monoi Body Oil 100ml, Luxurious Nourishing Oil for Soft, Hydrated Skin & Hair

I wasn't sure about this due to the price. However, Elemis has been a pleasant surprise and well worth the money. It's light, non greasy, and smells great! Highly recommend this product.

This body oil has the loveliest scent. Very unique and not strong or cloying. I savor it because of the price so for me it is a luxury. I put it in my bathroom sink with hot water while I am bathing and by the time I'm finished, it's ready to use. It returns to a semi solid state when it cools. One thing I wish could be improved is the cap. It's so easy to drop it and it screws on and off so it's easy to fumble especially if your fingers have oil on them. That is the only thing I'd change!

As many have done, I experienced this oil for the first time on a cruise during a spa treatment. The fragrance is intoxicating (to me), the scent is in the name: frangipani, or perhaps more commonly known as plumeria. If you like the smell of plumeria you'll likely love the scent of this oil. If you do not, well be warned. I use this oil as a two-part moisturizing routine for my arms primarily. I've noticed as I get older my arms get especially dry. To combat this I add a few drops of this oil to each arm, rub it into the skin (it soaks in nearly instantly) and then follow it with some Elemis Frangipani Body Cream. My arms feel silky smooth and stay moisturized all day. A little goes a long way so this bottle will last a very long time with normal use. There have been a few complaints about the oil being solid. Though I admit this can be annoying as you may sometimes have to place the bottle in hot water for a few minutes prior to using, it's important to not that it states you need to do this in the directions and therefore (in my opinion) is not a valid reason to mark this down. If doing this isn't something you want to do, then definitely pass on this particular oil. Elemis also makes a Japanese Camellia Body Oil Blend that does not solidify, this may be better suited for you. Overall I can highly recommend this body oil if you are looking for a truly luxurious oil with a fantastic scent.

Not greasy, great fragrance, hydrating

Excellent product, but they really need to change the bottle/dispenser. This is too frustrating to try to get the solid gel oil out of the tiny hole in the top. I am absolutely in love with the smell of it, but I don't want to have to warm up the bottle prior to each use!!!!! I read another review stating to place the bottle INSIDE your hot shower & it will be warm & ready for you when you are done showering. I will try this method. I love the oil, but dislike the dispenser.

Really enjoy this body oil. As with any product, it's not for everyone but I really enjoy it. It brings me happiness as it reminds me of the spa. I understand why there's a small opening because this oil is expensive and shouldn't be wasted. For the most part the smell lasts for a while but doesn't linger on all day. Wearing it with lotion either same scent or an everyday no scent lotion has helped linger a little longer. I love Elemis products and wish they weren't quite as high but it's hard to find quality products that I'm not allergic to and work. My skin has been dry my entire life and body oils are best for me. When I use lotion only, it doesn't last. Body butters are great for dry skin bit I haven't found one by Elemis. Using this body oil with lotion makes my skin not be dry the entire day.

It's my fault for not reading more reviews of this product before ordering it. I saw that it had an overall good average, and there were a few glowing reviews extolling the wonderful scent of this body oil so I went ahead and placed my order. When it arrived the oil was solid, as many other reviewers have noted. The package had been outside in the cold so I figured leaving it in my bathroom for a day or so would thaw it out. Nope. I had to use a heating pad to warm the bottle up and get the oil to a liquid state before I could try it. To open the bottle was a little bit annoying too: the bottle cap is super small. It's the little flame-top looking point and it's about the size of an almond, so I think people with dexterity problems will likely have an issue trying to get the cap off. I had tried unscrewing the entire silver colored top off (it wouldn't budge) before realizing the little tip was the actual cap. As a moisturizer, it works fine, but it's nothing special and certainly not better than other body oils I use. And finally, as other reviewers mentioned: this stuff does not smell good. It's not fresh or clean smelling at all. It smells like something old ladies wear: it's a faintly musty, plastic-sweet scent that gives me flashbacks to visiting nursing homes when I was in my grade-school choir and we sang for the residents at Christmas. I'm sure most of us have scent-memories of such places, and this body oil captures it perfectly. I have nothing against people who live in nursing homes, but I don't want to smell like I've been living in one since the 50s. 0/10, would not order again.

Leave skin feeling soft

olio corpo profumatissimo, odore molto gradevole di frangipane. rende la pelle morbidissima e profumata, soprattutto dopo la doccia, quindi a pelle umida. in inverno però con il freddo si solidifica un pò quindi da riscaldare.

Superbe mais pas possible en hiver car figée dans ma salle de bains !

So nice beautiful scent and leaves me with lovely soft skin. Leave in hit water as im having a shower then its ready I'm on my 4th bottle.
