In no time at all my tanks have a nice carpet of moss for all the baby shrimp and snails to hide in. Grows beautifully. Price was very fair and shipping was well done.

Honestly it was a pitiful amount of moss. It came in withered and drying up. Even more surprising was the quantity! I did not have enough to cover 1 small piece of drift wood. I was hoping to cover multiple pieces, after all its moss this stuff should come in large proportions. This looked like lawnmower cuttings. No clumps whatsoever so beware buying. Its a nightmare to attach to anything as a bunch of tiny broken pieces.

(See update below): I ordered the Christmas moss from this vendor based on the reviews. I can't say for sure that I received Christmas moss yet (as both Christmas and Java moss look INCREDIBLY similar when starting), but I am going to report back (probably with more pictures) after it has established itself and grown out (assuming I don't kill it). I ordered two packets to make sure I had enough for my 5-gallon tank and to insure I would get the 3rd "free" plant that was offered. I was hoping it would be more moss, and I was not disappointed. I wanted to put it on the branch hardscape I have as somewhere for my shrimp to hide. It came in three smallish sealed plastic bags (just like the one the vendor is "holding" in the provided product pictures). It was still green and slightly moist, although not showing water in the packages. I set it up in a small container submerged with treated water and kept it separate until I could run it through a decontamination of seltzer water overnight. I had it ready to go the next day and used sewing thread to tie it gently to my branch in two spots and the leftover I put in a "ball" for my shrimp to explore and for the Betta I plan to buy eventually to play with. I want the moss to grow out enough that the fish can't eat the baby shrimp immediately. Some of it has gone brown, but I expected that. I am hoping it will start recovering and growing out soon. The shrimp really like it and have been hanging out on all my plants and eating the algae. It's really soothing to look at. I think the $10 price is higher than my budget is happy with, but it's not unreasonable. Just don't be silly enough to order it and let it sit in your mailbox on on the porch for hours in the summer. Update 10/30/24: So, I downgraded to 4 stars because I am leaning toward the conclusion I was sent Java moss, not Christmas moss. I have attached pictures of the current growth. I had a bit of trouble with a hurricane power outage and a hair algae bloom. I ended up dunking all my plants and hardscape in a Chlorine dip to clear that up. That set back growth on the moss a bit. It took time to recover, but I finally have enough growth to say that it's the either the leggiest Christmas moss ever... or that I was sent Java moss. See the new pictures and judge for yourself. Sorry if some are too blurry. I only downgraded to 4 stars instead of 5 because I acknowledge that I got some nice healthy moss. It is growing well. My single remaining shrimp that survived the hurricane power outage loves hiding in it. It's just not what I really wanted. Purchased in July of 2024, so it's had 3 months to get established.

The package was well packed. It was arrived on time with no damage. I opened the bag and practically the whole thing fell apart. I figured it would. So with some hobby plastic sheets I knew what to do. I grab a tweezers, tooth pick, and a couple of bowls. Got busy and used the whole package of what was sent me. It took me quite a while. Thank you for an excellent product going in my shrimp tank I'm sure they will love just as I do.

Shipping was quick, but the product itself did not meet expectations. I ordered Christmas moss specifically for its distinct structure, but the portions arrived completely unlabeled and appear mixed with other moss. There’s no clear way to confidently identify what is actually Christmas moss versus Java moss, which defeats the purpose of ordering a specific species. While some browning from shipping is understandable, the bigger issue is that the product is not clearly distinguishable or separated. For a plant that is purchased specifically for its growth pattern, this is a significant problem. At this price point, I would expect clear labeling and accurate separation of species. Without that, it’s difficult to know if the correct product was received at all.

What moss I got was nice, though pricey for the amount I got. Description says you get 3. I got only 1. I also wanted it for a new tank. By the time I got it, the tank was done.

I ordered 2 moss and supposed to get 1 free but they sent me 2 free. All moss was dark green, healthy and a good amount of it too. Fast shipment, packaged well and gave me a 10% discount on my next order. Def using them again. Thank you.

Shipping was quick, however the moss was somewhat brown upon delivery. Within two days it was mostly brown and dying, causing me to drain my tank to remove the dead moss and start over. I don't believe I will be ordering from this seller, if you choose to I hope you have better luck than I did.
