Badger 5XP Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, Standard Series 3/4 HP Continuous Feed Food Waste Disposer, Badger 5XP W/C

Life saver! Our old one quit and the sink wouldn't drain well. This one showed up way faster than expected! It was easy to install, directions were simple, all we needed to get from the hardware store was plumbers putty for the sink drain. This one has more HP than our old one and has worked like a charm thus far (couple weeks in now). It's not too tall in design so I actually have a little more room under my sink for my cleaning supplies. Excellent price compared to our local hardware store, too!

Works great and great value

Purchased my house brand new. The 1/2 horsepower disposal lasted 10 years then just died. This is the same brand except I went 3/4 horsepower. Super easy system, twist the ring, it came right out. New one just had to unplug dishwasher plug, hook it to ring, twist ring, connect pipes. Works perfect. Not any louder than original.

Very happy with how easy this was to install, However seems pretty loud but works well. I replaced my badger disposal with an updated version. My badger lasted approximately 15 plus years, I will still buy this brand again, just seems pretty loud is the reason for the 4 stars

Very strong and easy to install if you have some talent.

This disposal is a beast. I've never had it jam. Yet even with the extra power, it doesn't draw attention to itself with crazy high noise levels. It's almost as if because it has so much power it just muscles through whatever washes down the drain. Highly recommend. Note: If food scraps can go in the trash that's what we do 90% of the time. All oils and grease go to the trash and not down the drain. But for the random food scraps that are stuck to pots, plates, or bowls. This thing grinds it all without a hickup and is quiter than most cheap 1/3hp disposals I've experienced. I can have a conversation while its running. Anyway, I would recommend this unit.

This disposal was so easy to install. It fit perfectly under the sink, and was a direct replacement to the broken disposal that started slowly leaking.

Our house has hit the 8 year old mark and all the appliances are slowly giving up, including the off brand 1\4 HP garbage disposal. In college I worked at Lowe's and was always impressed with the quality of this brand. Went with the 3\4HP it was under 100$ and was 3x as powerful as our last. Our home is rather new(under 10 years) so it was a quick switch out. Just unplugged the old one and turned it counter clock wise to remove(this one comes with a nice tool to help do that)it. Don't forget to knock out the knockout for your dishwasher if you have your line connected. You might need a flat head\phillips screw driver and a small hammer to help loosen your old one off the sink and to un attach\ re attach your dishwasher drains nipple. The instructions are clear, your P traps under the sinks should be compression fittings and should be hand tightened then a quarter turn past. So hopefully they didn't use glues or anything (one of our fittings had been glued🤦‍♂️). All in all took about 12 min to swap out. (Including the new connection piece that cost me 3$ at Home Depot)It came with a cord to plug into outlet under the sink, some older homes may have it hard wired you'll need to check what you have. As for performance, flawless. Sound wise about the same loudness as the old one maybe a little quieter but boy does it work like a charm and that extra 1\2 HP really makes a difference. We got a family of 5 and eat dinners at home almost every night so this little guy definitely gets worked out. The warranty is for 5 years I've never used one before on any Insinkerator products and this is my 3rd one over the years. My first 3\4 HP I had previously gone with the 1\2, however for the price the extra1\4 HP was a no brainer. Great product, highly recommend, be sure to follow the instructions and again don't forget the knockout for your dishwasher if you have one.

Es muy potente, tiene bastante fuerza; me sorprendió la potencia para triturar huesos. La verdad al principio tuve mis dudas al respecto, ya que físicamente es más pequeño que el triturador que tenia antes, el cual era de menor potencia. La instalación es muy fácil si el área esta preparada, en 30 o 40 minutos está montado y funcionando. Por el contrario si se requiere preparar el área, como fue mi caso ya que el triturador anterior estaba oxidado de la parte de la tarja y eso genero residuos que debían ser limpiados, el tiempo de instalación aumenta considerablemente, a mí me tomo 2 horas aproximadamente el proceso. Tal vez de la instalación la parte más difícil es apretar la canasta y contra-canasta. Así como el cargar el triturador para montarlo en su lugar. Con un poco de mañana se puede hacer más fácil. En cuanto al ruido, no es silencioso totalmente, puedes notar que está prendido aun en otra habitación, pero no es un ruido molesto ni estridente.

Fue muy fácil de instalar y anteriormente tenía otro de la misma marca y es muy útil para el molido de los alimentos

Calidad acordé al precio. Funciona muy bien.

No es tan poderoso para los 3/4 hp. Ruidoso.
