They are cheap for a reason, they are very good and do what they are intended for but they dont last long, used regularly you will expect each one to last 2-3 weeks, hense coming in packs of 5 or 10. Little side note, you can tranfer components from one to another to fix a failed one, ive also found that mostly the components used are the same regardless of USB port used eg Usb-C or micro-Usb

I used these to modify a Game Boy Colour to have a rechargeable battery. I'm not sure if it was me, but for ages it wasn't providing a connection to the Game Boy. I ended up bridging the battery connection and the output solder pads and it all seemed to work fine afterwards. It may be my poor soldering skills though After that it works and charges the battery no problem. One thing to note, these boards don't work with fast or super fast chargers. A normal 1 amp plug will be just fine, like an older iPhone plug

I love these little charger boards. I've already used 7 out of the 10 converting standard battery items into USB-C rechargeable devices. Great for anything like torches and radios or anything that runs on standard 3 x 1.5v batteries. They are small enough to be easily fitted inside many things, while replacing the normal batteries with re-chargeable batteries, or by installing a single 3.7v nominal (4.1v) Lithium Ion battery for easy recharging, instead of replacing batteries all the time.

The boards do NOT have any CC / USB C detection board/module so they will NOT charge directly from a USB C to USB C cable or with a USB C charger. You MUST use USB A to C cable or a USB A to C Cable adaptor if you want to use a C to C cable.
