LiveTarget Sunfish Hollow Body Fishing Bait with Topwater Depth & #4/0 Hook

My husband loves it.

I LOVE frog fishing. There's no doubt that froggin' will catch you some of the largest bass out there. I decided to give this sunfish a try, just to have a different profile. My second cast, I hooked up on a giant. Unfortunately, right before I could land it, he got off. I was stumped. I was sure I set the hook perfectly. A little discouraged, I continued on and to my surprised, within 10 minutes, I hooked up with another monster. This time, it was a perfect hookset. You just have to wait a few seconds to ensure they have it in their mouth before setting the hook! Important tip there. I went on to catch several more bass however, I was not impressed with the durability. The paint was already coming off and I kept having to adjust the body to fit around the weight each time I caught a fish. I ended up going back home, repainting the lure, sprayed on some clear coat so I hope that will keep the colors a little longer. Other than that, this thing is dynamite!

I love frog fishing in the thickest, muckiest weeds on the lakes I fish and have had great success with topwater frogs. Shopping here on Amazon one day this summer I stumbled on this little jewel and decided to give it a try. This thing is next best thing to a 4 minute kiss. It's completely weedless, doesn't take on water like some frogs do, casts a mile and imitates a dying bluegill perfectly with just an occasional twitch. No long legs or stringy skirts to cause short strikes. Every bass that has gone for this thing has swallowed it. I've dragged some BIG lunkers out of the weed beds. I love this thing and recommend it highly to anyone who wants to catch more bass.

I've had it for several years. Fished around lily pads and grass. Have put some big bass in the boat. Would buy another if I ever lost this one.

Awesome looking & perfect size. One issue is that it is really expensive and hookup ratios are low. I have gotten several strikes, but no catches on this. Conversely, I am about 80-85% hookup on a Livetarget frog, so I know how to fish topwaters. The plastic the body is made of is a good deal stiffer than what they use for the frogs.

Garbage the product is not what they say it is it's half the size and you can get one at any bait store for cheaper

Quick shipping. Mine is more turquoise than green... Not sure if I got the wrong color... I got the 3" and it casts far and I can side arm cast and skip it under trees and docks. Have not caught a fish with it yet but will. Looks great and durable... if you let it sit, it will fill with water and slowly sink. But, once you reel, it comes back to the surface. The lure is bowed and has a silver disc on one side that holds the hook

I really wanted to like this, but it just is awkward to fish with. The action is somewhat like a fish in it's last moments of life, when it is just occasionally flapping around on the surface on it's side. It is weedless, so I can give it credit for that. Honestly I've had better luck with the frog lures from the same brand. The coloring and look of this sunfish are very accurate, but just know that it "swims" on it's side, with the fish hooks facing the sky and the other side of the fish facing the bottom of the lake (weighted), and will never "swim" in the normal vertical orientation.
