Reformation Study Bible (2015) ESV, Leather-Like Brick Red

The Word of God so clearly written, and explained as well in lamen's terms. Wonderful Bible, absolutely love it. My only request is that the next edition include the 95 Theses that started the Protestant movement. Contains the Creeds and such, but not the actual theses.

This bible is amazing! I got the leather-like light grey one. The outside is nice but opening it up I felt like a kid with unlimited play tokens. 🤩🤩 There is so much extra information, but it's discreetly placed so it does not overwhelm the text. I was concerned about the font size. I have worn trifocals since I was 30 and thankfully I have no trouble reading the text. There is detailed information preceeding each book. The scriptures are annotated for cross reference. There is a virtual verse by verse commentary. Some reviewers had complained about the pages being thin and sticking together. Yes, some of the corners were stuck together, but not like superglue. I think it's from the gilding. The pages seem to me to be typical bible pages. This is a large book. A thicker page would have really made this book crazy heavy. I honestly don't find the book to be awkward or heavy. It's just a normal Bible's weight. I am working through a Paul Washer study book, "Discovering the Glorious Gospel." One of the scriptures to look up was, 2 Corinthians 5:21. I always have stumbled on the wording even though it is straightforward. Today I used the commentary section for clarity. Succinct. Love this bible. I'm sure I will still use my online bibles because it's so quick to cross reference things, but this bible is really a treasure of information. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!

It is for Reformed but I feel it a good read for all Christians. Not too much theological stuff. So it is friendly to freshmen.

This is the best Bible that I've ever owned. Listen, I don't know why their are so many bad reviews on the quality of the Bible itself. The print is easy to read and the pages are exactly what I wanted and the cover looks and feels fantastic. The creeds and such are absolutely amazing, the theological statements are amazing and you're getting a TON of free resources to connect with God's Word. A six-month sub to Tabletalk magazine for free, a ton of amazing ebooks and hours upon hours of teaching from Sproul and others. The gilding on the pages is exactly right and doesn't look gaudy, and my Bible actually came with THREE ribbons (happy happy happy). I feel that the people leaving bad reviews on the quality of the Bible itself are missing the point entirely, but that's another conversation for another day. The slipcase is also a nice welcome and looks great on any bookshelf. You're also getting a 3-month absolutely free trial to Ligonier Connect (which will blow you away) and a 36 page welcoming guide that I'm in love with. You can't go wrong with this Bible. It gets my highest recommendation and I hope that you purchase it, apply it, and live it.

Best study Bible I've ever had and it's not even close. Amazing notes, bringing centuries of the highest levels of reformed scholarly commentaries to a single study Bible, writing them in a way that is easy to understand for the average reader. Great layout and structure for easy reading. Comfortable to hold and read. So grateful for the work put into this study Bible, would strongly recommend!

You usually cannot go wrong with a Ligonier product by RC Sproul. The comments and explanation of verses is very complete and well written. This makes the perfect study Bible for anyone studying the reformed Christian faith. The leather-like cover is nice to the touch and adds durability for taking this book to Bible study and to church! We really like this Bible.

The additional features of this Bible are extremely helpful to gain a fuller understanding of how God’s Word has impacted the church throughout history. The notes have helped new and seasoned believers alike.

Love this Bible! I’ve used it as my main study Bible since I got it. I like that there are 50+ contributors to the notes so that what’s given is not one mans opinion. The articles on various topics in the back are great especially Steve Lawsons article about the history of the Bible. The only thing I thought was missing that would have been nice would be a hand full of historical notes for all of the creeds and confessions in the back. The extra content that comes with this is also greatly useful. I’ve used contact from many of the e-books and online classes for the youth group and high school Sunday school that I lead.

This has been a very helpful book for getting in depth knowledge of the Holy Scripture. I would recommend this studying tool to anyone that wants to grow in their comprehension of God's word.

I purchased the Genuine Leather addition and I must say as a student of Reformed Theology this is one of the absolute best study Bibles I have owned as far as content. The theological notes are simply outstanding, but know when purchasing that this Bibles notes do come from definite Calvinistic/Reformed perspective as the title suggests. I give the Bible 5 stars as far as its content, but only 3 for its craftsmanship. While I found the quality of leather acceptable, the paper is very thin and there is much bleed through and smudges of text ink in some areas. While these issues are indeed minor, I do feel that they are definitely not acceptable in a Bible of its price. These are issues I believe Dr. Sproul and his team need to address in future editions as it seems to be a common problem to most people who have purchased this edition.

It was our family's gift for a friend on his wedding. 5 stars for the timely delivery of an Excellent product. I wanted it for myself but for now it goes to my friend.need to save up a lite more.

The best study bible I have ever come across. The layout is clear, clever and the study notes are rich in theological study and thought. As a pastor I have given this study bible to Christians of all ages and backgrounds and they love how it is helping them to feed and grow off Gods word. Highly recommended.
