I Am Stronger Than Anger: Picture Book About Anger Management And Dealing With Kids Emotions And Feelings (Preschool Feelings Book, Self-Regulation Skills) (World of Kids Emotions) [Cole, Elizabeth] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. I Am Stronger Than Anger: Picture Book About Anger Management And Dealing With Kids Emotions And Feelings (Preschool Feelings Book, Self-Regulation Skills) (World of Kids Emotions) Review: Awesome book, don't listen to negative reviews - I am glad I bought this book despite the few negative reviews. Fist off the writing and rhyming complaints are silly. Its not a doctor sues book for cripes sake. I had no issues with reciting the words written. The book does a excellent job being written in an age appropriate way and giving great advice on managing your anger. It also points out that you can feel angry and sad at the time which is important for kids to understand. I see nothing wrong with how the book is written. As far as another complaint I saw in the reviews about the ending, there was nothing wrong with it. At the end the boy thinks over what his mom said and decides she was right. He then goes to her and apologizes to his mom. She tells him she's proud and rewards him with a toy. Why would you not reward that behavior? You'd want your child to repeat those behaviors in the future right? I have absolutely rewarded my daughter for stuff like this. Because she remembers those rewards we haven't had any meltdowns at the store anymore. My sister is a child therapist and something helpful she has pointing out is that you have to react immediately or very shortly after. So if your kid is naughty its not appropriate to put them in time out the next day right. Same with rewards, you see good behavior then praise or reward that child right then and there. Definitely give this a go, I'd recommend it. It kept my 6 year old daughter engaged and she isn't really into books. She didn't even give up halfway through like she sometimes does. The illustrations are beautiful and I think kids can relate with the storyline. I know I could relate to wanting a Koala! Review: Good reading - Very good.

Delightful
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. In this delightful story, Nick is told he can’t get a koala, and he gets angry. He learns how to deal with anger from the animals at the zoo. What a fun way to learn for both Nick and any children reading this book! The story is told in rhymes and the illustrations are cute and colorful. I especially like the adorable animals. It’s bound to keep the attention of children plus they learn different ways to cope with anger. It also teaches them to own their behavior and apologize. The only issue I have is that << >> are used for quotes most of the time instead of ” “. Occasionally, a quote with ” ” is thrown in making it more confusing. If not for that, I’d give this book 5 stars.

Great Story for Kids
This story was perfect, perfect, perfect! The colors are bold and beautiful, it is a catchy rhyming story so it tends to always draw a child’s attention if read right, and it is set in a zoo with animals which is also brilliant because what child doesn’t love animals? Especially talking ones!! My grandson is 6 and has anger issues since he was an infant; yes an infant?! Even his pediatrician couldn’t believe it when he seen him throwing a tantrum in his carrier b4 he could walk or talk… but he really engaged in this story and also commented on all the things I pointed out, like he didn’t know monkeys knew how to do yoga when they get angry or do the deep breaths like grandma teaches him!! That’s cool he said!! A must read to kids with anger issues… 10 stars if you ask me for the little guys and girls

Goes beyond the usual "take some deep breaths and count"
Fantastic message that goes far beyond "take a deep breath and count to 4". My daughter needs multiple ways to try to calm. Artwork is super cute too! Love the gorilla drinking espresso in the background.

Quality of pages are really low. If adult also read it. It is not going to last long.
