I adore this headset and for good reason too.
Had this before and yeah ill still say this is the best pro like headset at a mid tier budget you can buy. Tho the mic make you sound like a Esports commentator from 2010-2015 aka thats the mic quietly sounding professional yet old level of professional quality not like the mic you'll hear commentator use today. At least your voice will still be very clear. If your a CS player this also be a pretty choice you really can hear exactly where the footstep or jump came from. If you are still so un sure these lasted 8 and just about half years before yeah i've bought another one not long ago, but still in this day and age where many things are rushly made causing things to break sooner then they would of if there was more care into the production. 8 years (as long as you still take good care of it) is still quite impressively made to last headset. The only problem i can share at least with my old ones is the green cable protection from the wiring after 5 years started to slowly disintegrate on its own, but spite my old headset was basically exposed to the elements on year 6 of its life it carried on living for another 2 years even with the wiring becoming on display so spite the green cable parts being the only bad part of this headset it still was very much built to last. Take it from me who has owned this exact model in the past.

Good headset, short wire
I can't speak for the microphone as I use a stand alone mic however the headset itself has very good audio and sits quite comfortably, the only complain I could say it that the wire is not very long so that can be quite frustrating, besides that, the headset itself is quite nice

Replacement for a Kraken X (v1)
Like my failed Kraken (v1) headset, my Kracken X (v1) headset head band was cracking internally, so was on borrowed time, but I didn't want anything USB or wireless, so this looked the best option, and apparently has a more balanced speaker frequency response. Pros: * less tight on my head. * more comfortable memory foam headband cushion. * the speaker audio seems better; I'm not sure about the microphone yet. * no annoying of snag-gable (volume slider) or swivelling inline control, like on the Kracken X (v1); this was a compromise which only made sense for wired mobile-phone earphones. * less bulky than Kracken X (v1), mostly because the ear cups aredifferent sides, but see cons. Cons: * annoyingly the microphone is not retractable or unplug-gable; admittedly being a goose-neck, it can be curved vertically when not needed. * the side plastic rods, by the ear cups, to allow friction adjustment have no indexing make repeatable adjustment hard. * the over-hang of the plastic rods below the cup pivots stops me rotating my head much while on my Hinomi X1 headrest, which is quite annoying. * just like the Kraken (v1) and Kracken X (v1) headsets the head band springiness feels like it is also from a flexible internal two-layer plastic structure, so will probably eventually start to fail from plastic fatigue! I'm dropping 1 star for the annoyances. i'd like to see a hybrid of the Kracken X adjustment and microphone retraction, and the smaller/better ear cups and controls on the Left cup, of this headset, with the plastic headband spring replaced by Spring Steel.

Very nice at fitting on big heads, but has audio balance issues.
I have a giant head and had a lot of trouble finding headphones that fit. This one fits better than others. Big plus. However, there is a really annoying issue with audio balance where tweaking the audio knob makes the sound louder in one ear. On low volume all sound goes to the right ear, on high volume all sound goes to the left ear. On mid volume it's alright but that means not using the volume controls on the headphone. If you google "razer blackshark v2 balance" it's clear the issue is widespread. So I can't recommend this.

This gives you the edge over gamers.
This was a birthday gift of my awesome wife. I play loads of games on my pc and Xbox and this sounds brilliant. They really are comfy on and the over the ear cups cancel a lot of outside noise. Install the the Razer 7.1 surround sound for your headset and you’ll be immersed totally in your game. Volume control is easy to reach and use, with the control knob and there’s a small button to mute the microphone on the left side of the headset. The only bad side I can see is that on my old headset ( Razer Kraken ) there was a small depression in the cups for my glasses, these don’t but it doesn’t make them uncomfortable at all. The Razer Blackshark V2 X works perfectly with pc, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Comes complete with a 3.5 jack plug lead and an extra microphone and headphone lead. Definitely recommend these headset.

Razer blackshark v2 x
These are absolutely awesome for the money .Ive brought them to use on my PS4 and on my IPhone. They sound so good for the money !Best pair I’ve had for this money! The only gripe I have with it is that it states that they have 7.1 surround sound but you need a PC to use that software.I tried on the app but it won’t work.I can’t moan for the money though and they are still really good for the money.I am converted to Razer headsets from now on !Thats how happy I am with them.Try them out and you will not be disappointed.

Perfect
Honestly im not sure why there's alot of people saying bad things about this headset because its actually really good the sound quality is amazing and this is from someone whose paid out a couple of hundred on headsets (razer, turtle beach etc) they are very comfy and light weight the wire is the perfect length the only one thing that gets me is sometimes the audio will go funny because the jack is being moved on the controller but all headsets do this if you want a decent headset and you dont wanna spend hundreds this is the one to get the downfall for me is its not wireless haha but honestly to best budget friendly headset :)

I've used cheap $30-$40 headphones my entire life. This is my first more expensive pair and I LOVE them. Great sound quality, the mic is solid, and the passive noise cancellation is really good. I just need to get used to it because I talk a lot louder than I need to when on Discord. They're super comfortable, surprisingly light enough to wear them for hours and still feel comfortable. Build quality feels sturdy with a little heft, but not heavy enough to be uncomfortable, whatsoever. I really like that the volume wheel has a small click when reaching the midpoint, so you don't have to guess. Really nice touch. I was to able to plug and play immediately. Once I plugged it into my computer I was prompted to download some Razer software, which was super easy to setup and took a few minutes to learn. One thing I don't fully get the purpose of is THX Spatial Audio. It sounds noticeably worse than when it's off, but maybe I don't fully get the purpose yet. I'll update this review if I get it to work properly, but for now, I keep it off. In terms of product quality, it feels like a high-quality pair of headphones. I'm not an audiophile by any means but I absolutely love how these feel and sound. The ear cushions don't trap sweat or heat and honestly just feel great after long gaming sessions. The Synapse app has a lot of options, an equalizer, and various presets like Movie, Game, and Music. Just the Default preset is great already. Music sounds really good, when consuming media like Youtube videos, or Netflix, the headphones sound great and I can't complain. Overall these are quite amazing headphones. I highly recommend getting them if you have something higher quality than the typical "budget headphones." It's definitely worth the price. Definitely a great buy. Hope it can last me a year or two, AT LEAST.

Purchased at 124 SGD. Good sound and mic quality at this price. Razer SW provides quite some mic tuning. The compare video can be found on YT, actual experience is close to those review. I personally choose V2 over V2 X cuz I'm particular on the wire material so I pay the extra. But TBH I think if your budget is right at the 130 SGD, V2 X is better for value. Also if your head is bigger than average people, this headset should be the most comfortable one to put on, compare to HyperX, Logitech equivalents. The design is not that aesthetic, per se, but its mechanics does allow for low pressure on your head. For someone play games for more than 3~4hrs a day, comfort can be important. The only thing I felt unsatisfied is that although the mic is great on this headset(if you use dedicated sound card), the bundled usb sound card compresses it too much that it just become mediocre. I wish they didn't cut cost at this part otherwise it would be an unbeatable choice for the price.
