Learning Resources 20-Second Handwashing Timer

Perfect at the side of the sink for everyone to wash their hands for the right amount of time. Only downside is that it's not designed to be under the water so had to monitor children and teach them not to pick it up or dunk it.

I bought this to use in class as the children were finding it difficult to understand the ideas of singing while they washed their hands. Explaining that they had to use this to find out how long 20 seconds was, was a game changer. They love using this and now have a much better idea of how long they should be spending washing their hands when they have to use a different sink.

Lovely wee timer. Easy for a child to use and small enough to pop in a bag to use elsewhere.

The timer works, but is not waterproof, and runs on AAA batteries. There are also holes on the underside of the casing. This is unfortunate as we need to have it by the sink for hand washing. Not sure how long it’s going last! The instructions actually say “avoid getting the timer wet”.

Great product! My daughter absolutely loves it and thinks that it is the coolest thing ever. She actually looks forward to washing her hands now. It gives me a piece of mind, knowing that her hands are actually getting clean because she’s watching them long enough due to this timer. Highly recommend for anyone with young kids and toddlers.

Wir haben das Licht für unsere autistische Tochter gekauft...da sie kein Zeitgefühl hat und ihre Hände zu lange gewaschen hat. Mittlerweile nutzt es mein Sohn auch (und auch wir Erwachsenen manchmal). Mit dem Licht hat sie nun eine visuelle Hilfe und es läuft gut. Das Licht leuchtet durchgehend bis ca. 23-24 Sekunden (ohne blinken). Man kann den Vorgang "abbrechen" indem man noch einmal drauf tippt. Wenn die Zeit um es gibt es zusätzlich ein akustisches Signal und man kann die Hände abspülen. Bei uns steht es am Rand vom Waschtisch damit es nicht zu nass wird (unten sind kleine Erhöhungen damit es nicht direkt im Wasser steht wenn es mal nasser wird). Man könnte es auch an der Wand befestigen da hinten ein kleines Loch ist aber durch die kleinen Füße müsste der Haken (oder die Schraube) dementsprechend lang hervor stehen...plus es muss sehr schmal sein weil das Loch relativ klein ist. Das Licht haben wir seit 6-7 Monaten und keine Probleme bisher gehabt. Ich werde es wieder kaufen wenn es nötig ist. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Buena. Me ha funcionado para el lavado de manos de mi toddler. La pegué en la pared con ‘No Más Clavos’ porque no es water-proof y no ha fallado después de 5 meses de uso.
