Worked well and is very comfortable. Good fit for me.

Good for most 4/4 tubas
The harness is great. I’m not slim but not too strong and I’m average hight, it’s perfectly ajustable and suitable both for my Cc and F tubas. The only thing is it slides a little with the tuba’s weight and it takes a little time to take it off and put it back on again, but generally a very good product and a great solution for tubas which don’t have the little rings for normal harnesses.

Struggled to attach a Sovereign BBb Bass
I'm at an age where marching with a BBb Bass is getting harder and the cross back single strap isn't cutting it for me any more. I've heard great things about NeoTech harnesses so thought I would give it a go for Durham Miners Gala. Initially everything was great, the problem is that the strap loops on the Sovereign don;t really work with the harness, it seems better suited to looping round the bottom bow and I found the tuba kept slipping. The end result was. I ended up marching carrying the entire weight of the tuba on my hands with the harness doing nothing. I'm going to give it a go with the Yamaha Neo BBb Bass wheel out carolling this month and see if that works any better. I will update if I have more to say.

Very disappointed as i thought i might at last have the ...
Fiddly, over complicated and overpriced. Took ages and lots of sweat to configure it for my small tuba but when i tried it with my full size BBb i gave up. Also once on it's impossible to leave it attached while you have a break and then try and get back into it. Slips after a while aswell so mouthpiece and music lyre get further away from your face and you end up trying to hold everything up. Very disappointed as i thought i might at last have the solution to aching shoulders. Half the price would have still been too much for this product.

I’ve been on the fence regarding various options for making standing with my tuba in performance easier for years. I finally pulled the trigger after reading multiple reviews and comparing for price, quality, shipping time, etc. This Neotech tuba harness definitely works for me! I received it via next day Prime delivery and after a little experimentation I figured out the best configuration and used it for a rehearsal a few hours later. Game changer! Other reviews emphasized watching the video for configuring. Definitely not a bad idea. The cradle straps for the bottom bow of the tuba didn’t fit around my bow (I thought). I looped them around a smaller diameter section of tubing and it worked fine but after watching the video, I now realize there are adjustments hidden under the padded cushions on the straps. It worked out well regardless. I’m not sure if I’ll reconfigure or not as the straps are more hidden the way I connected it. Regarding fit, after reading some of the reviews I had some concerns about which size to get but after measuring from the top of my shoulder to where the bottom of my tuba was when standing and holding it I opted for the regular size. It works perfectly with my Rudy Meinl 3/4 CC tuba. Neotech also makes a “holster” harness that I think would be as good and possibly better but I opted for this due to the cradle actually attaching to the tuba vice resting in the holster. Added note, after wearing it to stand for my solo I sat down to play with it still attached and it helped hold my tuba in a perfect position and height for playing while seated as well. I did notice there seems to be some minor break-in stretching of the straps and/or neoprene support padding when first using that necessitates minor adjustments. I’m confident that will go away with more usage. Highly recommended!

It is hard to completely review this product because I have never worn it in a gig. It arrived today and I spent 2 hours trying to adjust it to fit. It is simply too large, even though it is the regular size and not the XL. I read the reviews and some folks had the same problem. They recommended buying the junior size. At 6-0 and 200+ pounds, I had a problem doing that. I wish now that I had. My gig is in 3 days so I placed another order, this time for the junior size. I am having it sent overnight. I will choose the better fit and sent back the other (a privilege of Prime). One thing not mentioned by other reviewers is the size of the tuba. For example 4/4 tubas vary a lot in height. Mine is a Hirsbrunner 4/4 BBb horn. It is shorter and wider than a kaiser-style tuba (Miraphone 186 and many others). Horns made by most good companies (Adams, B&S, Hirsbrunner, Miraphone, Meinl, and others) can come in either configuration. I don't know if the junior size harness will fit by Hirsbrunner but I do know that the regular size is too long. Frustrating! So after writing this review, I decided to try the straps that go on the bottom bow as opposed to those that go on the tuba loops. This worked better but it is still a difficult job to make a fit. In all I spent 3 hours trying to make this harness work. If I was a leather worker, I would customize a harness to use the 4 loops on my tuba and have it fit me exactly.
