Best Tool for the Job
Very highly satisfied. Competitors’ standard design (enclosed circle) are 1/8” thick. This is 3/16” thick (50% thicker), designed in a way that is robust while still nimble in tight engine bays. Steel is of higher quality than the usual Davco housing wrenches, not easily deformed in spite of the weight I can put on it, and the handle is thicker, too, not the thin dip of plastic on other brands. I’ve bent the standard ones trying to get a collar ring off, but this one doesn’t flex at all. Lisle has a special place of respect in my tool chest - quality matching the tool truck names at better prices. I would buy again, if my 200+ pounds ever breaks this one. Even though I only rarely need a 5” or 8” Davco wrench, I will be purchasing the other size Lisle wrenches soon.

This wrench fits just as good and is just as good a quality steel as the tool truck brands at a much better price. Great value, great performance for the money.

wrench in the pic work great for me
wrench in the pic work great for me. but they upgrade it to one with thinner legs and they have not change the picture so people can pick the one they like. the one with thinner legs do not work well with really tight filter. I cut the handle in my and weld a socket so I can use it with a ratchet. this way it work good in tight space by just putting a extension. .

Extremely sturdy
Great wrench for such a large filter housing collar. This thing is thick!! Touches a lot of surface area on the collar so it won’t strip off the collar nibs. Not flimsy at all. Will last a long time I’m sure.
