EXCELLENT BOX- has 12 compartments across which is how E12/24/96 work, nice and tight, compact
I have been struggling to store 0805 and 0603 components for years. My old solution was to keep them on the cut tape in the little bags from Digikey but once the parts get loose they're like fleas. Luckily they're cheap but a pain to get. The design well done- I like the multiples of 12 for components- finally someone knows how these things work. Great- I'm going to get a couple more now.

Perfect for SMD’s on the repair bench
A bit pricy, but exceptionally well made. I use it for storing SMD components and it excels in this capacity. It is smaller than I thought, but this is a good thing saving some room on the test bench. It works so well that I have recently ordered another. Excellent product.

MUST HAVE if leveled up to SMD components!!!
I was making do with the tic-tac and little craft cup organizers but organization was driving me CRAZY and still felt insufficient. I pulled the trigger on a variety of 3 of these boxes, and I LOVE them now!!! The pocket covers hold closed VERY well. The 96 version, all small cups holds a wide range of values of caps and resistors, so you'll always have what you need in a small organizer. Assuming you buy the passives in tape form, cut the tape for 4 chips a piece, and they fit GREAT in a cup. And each little cup will hold 50 in that manner. And 50 is a GREAT price break point for passives on Digikey. Trust me, don't get less, and it still only costs a few bucks. 1 weak point of the boxes is just the labels that come with it. They tend to start lifting of the covers. I press them down again when I notice, but they Aidetek could use a different supplier that has better adhesive backing on the labels Recommendation for Aidetek: PLEASE tweak the cup design so the bottoms are slightly filleted. Doing so makes removing chips at the bottom much easier, and it won't have a significant volume penalty. Some reviews complain that the organizers are smaller than expected... And I APPRECIATE that! These are SMD components people! Do you want to FILL A SHELF with them? I'd rather have them take up very little space on my bench, right where I need them, and have EVERY passive and IC in them. If you work with SMDs and have a wide variety, you will love these. Get a box with small AND large pockets if you have SMD to DIP adapter boards. With headers on the adapters, they fit in the larger pockets. If placed thoughtfully, you can get a large handful in each larger cup. Then when protoyping on breadboard you also have mounted ICs and chips ready to grab.

PERFECT, but Template for printing out labels could be easier to use.
This box is perfect for storing passive SMD parts like resistors or capacitors that are not sensitive to ESD. You can even print off the labels with all the values you want and put them on the box. The template they give you could use a little work to make it easier to use but otherwise it is great (but this is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5).

Fantastic for surface-mount components! (Don't expect to use it for larger things.)
I've gone through probably a half-dozen different kinds of organizers looking for a good way to keep track of small circuitry components. This is hands down the best one I've used for surface-mount components. Sewing organizers and tackle boxes are better for larger parts, like things larger than your fingernail, but this is great for smaller stuff. The smallest parts I use are 0603, but I don't have trouble with anything falling out. The drawers also stay shut very well. There aren't many cons, but the labels aren't very easy to write on. I just use a label printer to print part names out in a small font. The drawers are small, but I think it's a good compromise with how many there are. They're about 15mm wide and seem to fit about a thousand 0805 resistors comfortably. They're just large enough for a 0.5mm-pitch QFP100 chip to lie flat in, although you should probably use the pricier anti-static version of this box for things that require ESD protection. Anyways, it's also small enough to put in a bag and carry around, which is very nice considering how many parts you can fit in it.

Small but Great
This was an impulse buy. I realized how small this was when it arrived. Nonetheless, it doesn't take away the fact that this is a fantastically made box. It's durable as all get-out and the enclosures click shut and stay shut. I like how they're individual - that was THE biggest reason I sudden-bought this. It's hard to find anything like this, I've looked! I just wish the compartments were bigger. Big enough for a small paper med cup with pills to fit inside it - it doesn't even have to have this many compartments. Please make one like this and take my money!!!

Too small.
Too small for my needs.

By far the best portable tiny part organizer
I have half a dozen different box-all organizers, and they're either on my workbench or in my portable toolbox. I use them for small to medium size fasteners. I have about 200 different size fasteners, and I need ALL of them organized and close at hand. These containers do that almost perfectly. Mixing between compartments is impossible, which is very very nice. People complain about the inability to move bins around, but... Did they not look at the product before they bought it? In effect they're saying, "this product is no good because it isn't what I need." If you need to move bins around, this product is not for you. If I have one complaint, it's that the plastic isn't super high quality, and the lips on the small flap lids extend a bit too far into the bins. Still, for tiny object organization, where you don't need to move bins, you do need to label, and you need sealing bins, this is the best I've ever used, by a wide margin. Tip: use *pencil* to mark the labels. Then it's easy (ish) to shuffle things around.

Para componentes SMT805 es ideal. Sus materiales son de muy buena calidad

It is quite a small container and holds a reasonable number of SMD components, perhaps 100 or more in each compartment. It looks good and feels sturdy. The number of compartments makes it easy to store resistors and capacitors, for example capacitors on one side and resistors on the other, 6 decades of 12 values (for 10% tolerance), or, using the whole box for resistors only, 6 decades of 24 values (for 5% tolerance, etc. It comes with a sheet of self-adhesive tiny labels. The price is correct. I wish compartments were more transparent than they are, so you don't have to open each one to check if there is something inside. Also, some additional sticky labels would have been great, in case I change my mind about the content, but than again, I'd had to store those somewhere and I might loose them.
