Frost King HD11 Baseboard Air Deflector, Heavy Duty, Clear Plastic with Magnetic hold, Fits baseboards up 25' wide, Adjustable 15" to 25"

Been using it for about 6 months now, and it holds up well. Stays in place and directs airflow how I want.

Used in a commercial setting to deflect air away from an employee's eyes. This was used on a 2' x 2' ceiling air / duct diffuser. The employee is very happy, and the installer is very happy with the ease that the adjustable size and magnets for attachment. My guess is that the deflector will outlast the employee.

Good! This is the only product I found that would fit my type of baseboard register. Ordered two, and one was cracked, but that may have been due to shipment in a plastic bag with no cushioning instead of an Amazon cardboard box. The manufacturer packaging is a regular thin cardboard box, and the plastic is rigid, so any impact would crack it. (Amazon, you should ship this in a cardboard box.) I kept the cracked one anyway bc it still works and is hidden from view behind a sofa. I just wish I could find a duct piece to attach to go under the sofa. They make one for other styles of wall and floor vent but not this one. The pictures are if one under long curtains, not the one behind the sofa. One star off for it being cracked or not being durable, but I would buy it again.

CANNOT use on a wall as there are small plastic nubs in each end of both magnets which prevent it from laying flush against the vent register. Therefore, the magnets cannot make contact with the metal vent. It does not function for a wall vent. Even when I moved it so the nubs were off the metal vent, the magnet strength is extremely weak and would not stay on. Therefore plastic is durable enough. The length was perfect. The company should work on the design flaws and make it functional for both walks & floors. I will be returning.

Perfect for HVAC register/vent that fits up onto the baseboard at the floor-baseboard juncture. I looked at the details of many vent deflectors that indicated that they were for baseboard registers, but after digging into the reviews found that they were not for baseboard registers. These Frost King HD11 Baseboard Air Deflectors have their magnets oriented so that they attach along the sides of these protruding baseboard registers. That is 90 degrees from the typical deflectors attach on the same plane as the grill where the air comes out. My baseboard registers are around 18 inches wide and extend up the baseboard around 4 and 1/2 inches from the floor. I also have other rectangular vents that fit into the floor only and not up on the baseboard. They required the other type of deflector like almost all of the other deflectors that I have seen.

The description above is a mess. It quotes different lengths, different versions of potential uses. It's a list of contradictory points. The product I actually received is built for baseboard registers -- not wall, floor, or ceiling registers despite the promises above. The magnets are sandwiched between plastic strips that allow them to work only on the sides. There are little nubbins (I hope you can see this in the photo attached) that stop the sides from lying flush against a wall, floor or ceiling. I had a hard time finding anything else this size, so I will use this for the ceiling register heat and cooling drafts I need to deflect, but I will use brackets made to attach mirrors to walls or doors to install this. (Thanks to another Amazon reviewer for this idea!) The magnets are cumbersome dead weight to work around for a wall or ceiling installation using brackets and screws. As another reviewer said, the shield won't even stand up on a floor register -- it falls over. It's meant for baseboard registers -- 1940s-50s style upright at floor level, but not in the floor. The magnets are pretty big and clunky for the tiny strips of their sides exposed. I don't have a baseboard register handy to test how they might or might not hold.

Read a lot of reviews stating that product was broken and magnets were weak. These both arrived in perfect condition and the magnets work just fine on my baseboard venting units. I only wish that the guard was adjustable and not curved as much as it is. Otherwise, it works fine.

These are heavier and sit slightly higher on our vents. Now the rumba can go under them without issue. One of ours was receivered broken. It was replaced right away.

Arrived broken and magnets not strong enough to hold it in place, due to cost i threw it in yhe bin.

This item extending to 25" is difficult to come by so was happy to see FROST KING had the size I needed at a good price. Item arrived in good condition and plastic is sturdier than those I've bought in the past from different brands at higher cost. I've been using their plastic window kits for years and been very satisfied.

Plasting is melting and warping after a few weeks of use!

The product works well and I haven't had any issues with my natural gas central heat like other reviews mentioned. Fairly expensive at $20 CAD I think a 10$ price tag would be more reasonable.
