This replacement is for the Remington PF7400 razor. After nine months of use, the foil wore through. I think that this is ok for this type of razor. So, I have purchased this new foil/cutter. The cost was about $28 including shipping. This is a good fraction of the cost of a new PF7400 razor. However, during the nine months of use, I have been happy with the razor. Since I like the razor, I think that it was worth getting the new foil/cutter. About the razor: Over a lifetime, I have used many electric shavers, both foil and rotary types. I find that the foil razors give closer shaves, but tend to leave some whiskers behind. The Remington PF7400 F4 does give a decent shave and does not seem to leave whiskers behind. It has a head that pivots and a curved handle for comfortable easy holding. The trimmer attachment works well. The razor is light, so it is a good choice for travel. Altogether, this is a reasonable low-cost razor.

I recently discovered, the hard way, that the heads on my Remington electric shaver need to (eventually) be replaced. I must've gone nearly two years without thinking about it but I did notice my neck getting a bit irritated after shaving recently. But then the other morning, it actually hurt to shave my face. It felt like a cut. I turned the shaver off and saw that I actually did have little thin scratches on my cheek! I then inspected the shaver and found a tiny area of the metal foil was lifted. I called Remington to ask about buying a replacement head (plus blades) for it and the rep told me the exact part number that my shaver uses and said I could easily find it here on Amazon. The replacement head comes with the 2 removable blades that snap inside the shaver. They're easily installed. If you've been using this a Remington electric shaver, you should know that you should be regularly opening it up and washing the insides. If not, your shaver must be filthy. But in any event, this replacement head was nearly identical to the original (which was a couple of years old) and installed easily. Best of all, when I went to use it, it felt like I was getting the closest shave ever, and no more scratches. Now I know to replace the head every 12 months.

I've used Remington longer than I can remember. The latest replacement head I bought is trash. I don't expect a shaver to tear whiskers out of my face. The shave from the screens and cutters is good. I believe the culprit is the intercept cutter. Shape up, Remington. Don't destroy your product.

Bought this for my 80 year old Dad. He has had this razor for awhile and loves it. It was good to find a new head top for it. He’s happy that’s all that matters.
