I love how sturdy it was when I received the light stand. I was also amazed how quickly it was to set up on the desk. It fits well and the height is great. I was not sure how high it would be without being extended but for me it was good enough and should I need more at least I can use the extension feature.

I used this for my ring light cause the stand that came with the ring light was to flimsy.... this one is more universal and I really do like it and it comes with extra pieces... will order another and i will definitely recommend this product to my friends and family.... the phone clip does not come with it,I added that on myself...

I use the light to balance the lighting for video calls in my office. I have it mounted to a variable desk for both standing and sitting. It moves with the desk surface. I had the light ring on a tripod, but that didn't work when I changed the desk height. This works well for that purpose. It wobbles a bit when I adjust the height, but it doesn't once the desk height is set. The tripod allowed height adjustments, rotation and the ability to tip the light forward and backward. This stand doesn't allow that. Since I wear glasses, tipping helps avoid glare on glasses. Also would avoid the circles yo see on a lot of people's glasses in video chats.

I attached this to my desk to use with a video light. It's sturdy if the weight is directed downward. Don't try to use it with an extension clamp and redirect the weight to one side - it's not THAT sturdy. I plan to buy another.

This light stand works great with my Aputure Amaran AL-F7. It is light weight and well made. It feels sturdy enough to hold heavier devices such as mirrorless cameras. The picture shows it holding a DSLR and I do believe it can hold this, however, I would be careful if using this at max extension to hold a heavy DSLR with a bulky lens. I would highly recommend this for the price.

I added a small ball head on top and use this to hold my mirrorless camera up as a web cam. It's quite sturdy for the price, but it's quite thin so I wouldn't mount a super heavy camera on it. Should be perfect for lights where a tiny bit of wobble might be less noticeable. The desk clamp and the twist clamp on the extending section both seem secure. A great value IMO.
