It’s a legit game and I had fun!

Although kinda unfairly priced, I have no regrets buying this game. As a recent KH fan that played through the ‘Story So Far’ and everything up to present day, this game was a perfect reminder of why I love the series so much. It has about 150 songs from the entire series, others of which I’m sad didn’t get included. This game has a lot of replayability if you’re like me and want to get all the trophies and collectibles. There’s a great amount of satisfaction in clearing a song and getting goodies at the end. I’m not very good at reviews but this is a no-brainer if you want a nice summary of the events so far, and a reminder of why the games are so special - the moments. If not, you can easily find the new lore on YouTube!

This game is amazing! :) It's a true love letter to the Kingdom Hearts series, containing a huge variety of songs from the excellent Yoko Shimomura, whose music never fails to tug at the heartstrings, to make your heart soar with happiness and remind you that music is something that can fill you with emotion. This game is brilliant for a number of reasons, not least because it allows newcomers to tackle the convoluted storyline (and I say this with great affection as I know the story inside out!) by breaking it down into bitesize chunks, with Kairi --the main protagonist, whose memories we are exploring-- narrates the cutscene playing in the background, thus giving newcomers --and old hands like me!-- time to explore the world of Kingdom Hearts. As well as this, it plays beautifully, the graphics are just stunning on Switch. I play it on Switch Lite and it's an absolute treat, the worlds and characters are crystal clear, the main menu screen changes depending on what party you have (at present I have chosen Team Days, which means there is an adorable background of Roxas, Axel and Xion all sitting on the clock tower having ice cream and the best bit is they actually move, so they look like they're having a chat and joking together! Oh the emotions when I saw that!) and everything is very easy to find your way around. If you've played a rhythm game before then you'll know the premise of hitting buttons to the time of the music, but even if you haven't it still guides you through it in an easy manner, allowing you to pick and choose the difficulty of each song you play through. Now the nice thing in this game that differentiates it from a normal rhythm game is that it actually FEELS like you're actually battling opponents, whereas usually you're just button mashing and trying to get the best scores you can. Whilst there IS elements of this, the overall feel I got when I played through the first world (Destiny Islands, obvs) is that I was actually fighting Heartless, as with a press X at the right time you can unleash magic on Aerial Heartless, you press A, L or R to attack with any of your party members and B to jump/glide; which I absolutely love, because you can tell the developers have spent a lot of time and effort on the nostalgia effect. And it pays off. Big Time. :D I would strongly encourage any newbies to Kingdom Hearts to pick this one up, the music is glorious, the characters are lovable right from the start and the story will hook you. To all those old hands of Kingdom hearts, then this one is a no brainer purchase; as you will absolutely NOT be disappointed with all the hours of content available on here, from the songs to the completing missions to the collectables you unlock, which include art cards, the Memory Dive songs (where you have a main characters theme playing while notable cutscenes of said character play in the background, which once complete you can watch to your hearts content) among other things. Truly a Masterful Piece of Music and Memories that will stay in your heart for a long, long time. :)
