Not as reliable as you think.
I has this product for two months, and it stopped working for some reason. But it did have a good transfer speed & data upload.

Cable is too short
check your motherboard for the placement of the USB3 input inside. The cable wasn't long enough to reach the input on my motherboard.

It's a little finicky to install. Since the USB3.0 header is keyed, it can only go in one direction which might mean the cable is in a hard or impossible to reach spot. Double check this before you buy (the little "notch" on the motherboard header is the side where the plug will be). I got lucky that there was a cable routing hole in my case exactly where the plug was.

I was looking for this right angle adapter for years and just recently found it. In my situation, I have a mini-atx case that I got from frys electronics over a decade ago, a silverstone tj08-e. The motherboard is upside down and the drive bay actually squeezes against the front panel header cable. The 3rd pic is the old front panel cable; no, I've chose not to push the drive bay in there again to show you what a bad design that is. The 2nd pic is the adapter now installed. The 1st pic shows the adapter with drive bay in; see how nice it looks? That's the way it's supposed to be. My only gripe is there is not a positive locking mechanism between adapter and old header cable - and I did find the connection loose one time, but I'll just glue or tape it together next time.

Testing this out tonight after I got it. Obviously it's working since my PNY portable SSD drive shows up in explorer. I started to transfer 80GB of videos and it started at 130MBps which is good for USB3. Every 3-4 minutes, though, it throw an error and stops transferring files. If I wait a few minutes and click Try Again it starts transferring files and then it happens again. I plugged in a Samsung SSD and tried the same transfer and they same error keeps popping up. Will have to return this product as defective. Update: Received a replacement of this item and during a 25 minute 80GB transfer I did not have any I/O errors. speeds were averaging around 130MBp/s so I may have just received a bad unit. Updated 1 star to 5 star review.
