Roop Mantra runs an extended advertisement on all nationalised as well as regional channels and that I how I came to know about it. I intended to gift it to a friend of mine who happens to be a great admirer and user of Ayurvedic products. The first impression of the product is that it is extremely dry and application of this product might be tricky for a certain section of the users. The next impression is rather a queer one I found. Once applied, the face is unable to sweat and thus this product can be termed as a ‘sweat mask’, which makes it extremely uncomfortable to many. Also, one who cannot bear heat must be very sceptical in using the product. The presence of multiple herbs makes it a desirable product and also a very safe one devoid of any harmful chemicals. In addition to these, it is quite effective for any kind of skin infection as it contains medicinal herbs. The application of the cream is advised on a clean face and hence it is a bright idea to wash your face with a face wash and then proceed with application in a circular motion as indicated on the pack. As it is quite a dry product, the application on an extra dry skin can be tricky. Although it had no side effects or itches on application for me or my friend, it is very much essential to test the product and look for any side effects and then proceed along with it. After the continued application of more than a week, there has not been any change in skin’s radiance tone. It is mentioned that one should use it for 3 weeks at a stretch to find any effect and hence would edit it likewise after 15 days. The smell of the product is nothing extraordinary but has a very light soothing aroma which I liked a lot. I have used the product too and the application for me was fine. I was however irritated due to the “sweat mask” property as it was making me very uncomfortable.

Well... I have combination skin, oily and dry at the same time. But it dries out skin more and I do not recommend for dry and less oily skin type. It is helpful in reducing acne though, but it takes long time, like 3 weeks to be showing obvious results. It's good at its price but only if it could make my face less dry. I think it'll be good for excessively oily face.
