I purchased this unit when the firmware in my two backup units were attacked rendering them useless. I could not access the drives in those units any longer. When this unit arrived I slid my drives from the dead backup units into the slots and my drives were useable again. I could not access my backed up data but it saved me from buying three new drives.

Its awesome, to conne t multiple HDD at once.

Everything else seemed to work though i only tried sata and a few SD cards. The one IDE drive-type i needed to get data from failed. Drive did spin up but nothing on my Windows 10 workstation.

Over priced for such a poor quality item with poor design and workmanship. After several uses the solder joints on the circuit board cracked causing device to fail. If you own one of these leave the USB 3.0 output cable connected. Every time the connector is plugged in, stress is placed on the solder joints to the circuit board. It won't take many plugins to cause the joint to crack. Their location makes them difficult to re-solder without causing damage to other components.

I bought this specifically because I have IDE drives. Looking at the product, IDE is clearly the more difficult disk to accommodate. The power adapter for IDE is moveable. I moved it a smidge and appeared to be able to plug in IDE with a snug fit. But I never got power to the IDE disk. I tried the SATA slot and immediately you could feel the drive spin up. I returned it. 2 stars because the SATA worked .

Positive Comment: Made of cheap material. Negative Comment: This device kept running my HDDs even after the computer shutdown. The lights were bouncing left & right like the device was doing some write or read as I walked up the next morning. Both my SATA drives were very hot to the touch and yes my computer was OFF (not asleep). There are no dust flaps to protect the bays. So, when I powered up my computer it could not read one of the hard drives. I did check this drive in other USB docks on other computers with the same result. After backing up the other HDD, I tested this dock on 4 other computers/laptops. This dock exhibited the actions as mentioned above including spinning the HDD after the computer/laptop had been long shutdown. Also had same results regardless of USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and 2.0 connection. Only used 2 SATA drives on this device of which only one survived. Never got to test my IDE drives and glad I didn't. Also never tested any of the front ports either. And never will. Buyer be very aware of this device! Very glad Amazon has the extended returns for purchases during Christmas because this was a present to myself. Guess I'll be looking at HDDs too.

i am using it on my Mac. Makes storage and using USB drivers so easy. I have not used the cloning function. Great value

Only two slots can be used in a NAS ! A&B or A&C do not use IDE drive in slot C

This is amazingly simple to use literally plug and play.

I bought this about a week ago. I've collected many old & new storage devices over the years, some almost 20 years old, hence the need for this device with an IDE port. I first tested every port I needed, individually, to make sure they all worked. Then I tested to see if it can handle everything (that I needed) at once. In the photo attached, I have a 2TB SATA HDD, a 128GB SSD, a 64GB Micro SD, 32GB thumb drive & my Android phone( with full access to it's memory storage) connected and all working at the same time! Brilliant! I'm running Windows 10 pro OS.

The reader works fairly well but has a slight manufacturing issue that makes it difficult to insert IDE drives. Takes a bit of fiddling to get it to dock.

Worked great to start but data transfer was slower than expected and stopped working all together after about 3 months. Price and shipping were great but unfortunately they said it is no longer under warranty. I was hoping they would just replace as I really liked the functionality.

Le service est très rapide. La qualité laisse à désirée. Quand on insère un disque dur 2 1#2 celui-ci se retrouve dans une fente de 3 1/2 ce qui laisse un grand espace et permet au disque dur de se détacher si l'on bouge le boitier. Il me reste à en faire l'essai.
