I bought these 2 use as fun displays because I love the atomic age, and this ray gun design is awesome, imo. They work great. My hubby and I got a blast playing with them before I displayed them. The lights are bright and colorful. The sound is cool. I'm sure we'll play around with them again, especially with our grandson 😉.

At first both of them didn’t work, and magically one day, they both operated accordingly.

One worked, the other didn’t have a spinning motor. I opened it up and found a broken wire and soldered it back, and presto! Fixed! I wouldn’t expect someone to go through the trouble but I did. Also, battery contacts inside don’t fit the best and are loose so it can seem like they are DOA. They are cool when they work! I’ll try to get a picture of the innards…they are not glued and screws come out easily for repairs.

I bought these for a couple's costume for my husband and me (b-movie galactic explorers). They are SO cute and are bright and flashy. I thought they were worth the money because after we use these for our costume, we will give them to our young boys to play with. The only downside is that the silver is a film and will scratch very easily. For that reason, I am not letting my boys play with these until after our Halloween parties because otherwise, they will get scuffed up in a minute. For the price, they are a fun toy/prop.
