Way cool stone tgat I hold under the sink faucet as a wet stone, using the bottom of the case to protect the sing from scratching.

Coarse grit 8" sharpening stone in plastic storage case, delivered on time in good condition. Product is as described. Good value. Quality meets my expectation.

Absolute crap!!!! save your money. it will not stay together under normal use. it just crumbles and can be easily grooved. way to soft. If i could give zero starts I would.

The whetstone seems to be decent quality, but the shipping was terrible. For some reason, the seller thought it was sufficient to just put the plastic case in an envelope and send it. The first package (envelope) arrived unsealed and empty. Amazon customer service helped place a replacement order, since I had not received any product. It came today, also packaged in a paper envelope. The plastic case was broken and the whetstone was just loose in the envelope. It has some chips on the edges, but still seems to be usable. I have decided to keep the stone since I can still use it for a couple of tools that need a course stone.

Great product. Excellent work horse of a stone. I'm putting a very steep angle on a S30V Manix 2 as a f*around project and this thing gets some serious work done setting that edge. If you're not drastically changing your bevel angle this thing will set your desired angle very fast. Very handy for that reason. Avoids tedious grinding on less coarse stones. I only gave it 4 stars because my stone came slightly chipped on one side. Doesn't affect the effectiveness of the stone so I didn't send it back but it's worth noting.

Works very well for me, but I have finer stones and ceramics to smooth edges after using.

Very good cheap stone for the non regular users. Very aggressive stone if you don’t know what you are doing.

The 120 side cuts really fast, be careful. The 240 side glazes easily but still good and cleans up the 120 scratch pattern rather well. For the price, this is hard to beat. I think this an oil stone but I use just water. It's really soft so be careful. I received mine and it was bowed so keep that in mind.

Superb stones .Flat and they cut very fast .They are not as fast as diamond,obviously,but the second best things and they have the advantage of a large surface 8" by 2".They are also about a 1/5 of the cost of daimond.These are really worth having as a first cut tool.

Works great to sharpen steel blades.
