Hello there, I'm a big scrub at computer related things and I was wondering how would I connect this to my personal computer?

This can easily hook up to your PC computer using a Scarlett Focusrite. That's what I have. The Scarlett 2i2 hooks up to your PC with a USB cable. I managed to setup 2 headsets for 2 people, and it works as an intercom system too, because the Scarlett has a little switch on it which provides live playback of your voice as you are speaking, so you can hear your own voice in your headphones, if you need to hear how you sound. By hooking up 2 pairs of headphones to the Scarlett, and 2 microphones, you have an intercom system for only $150, plus the cost of the cables, headphones, microphones, etc. You can either use separate microphones or built in headset microphones with the Scarlet. Other "USB preamps" will work just fine too, although Scarlett is the most well known, and considered the best for the price.

Can you put felt earpads on this headset?

I'm sure you can. It has earpads just like Sony headsets. I have a Sony MDR-7506, and the earpads are the same size on this Audio-Technica as the Sony, must be standard.

Is the cabling used shielded and how well does it reject RF interference? I would use these in a radio transmitting environment.

It appears the cabling is shielded. I have used it doing sports broadcasting, along with the use of wireless mics from the company that does the video for our high school sports teams. There is no interference with the other audio equipment we are using. Very happy with this headset.
