Is this tsa- okay? i don't remember what the proper term is, but i mean is it legal to carry on a commercial flight?

Logic would say that the TSA would allow it since the tiny blade is completely recessed and cannot be used as a weapon. In fact, it's less exposed and smaller than the TWO blades of a nail clipper. It reminds me of the rotary blade on a can opener -- sharp enough to cut metal cans but unable to weaponize. In fact, the blade is so small that I doubt that the TSA agent would see it if you don't point it out. In reality, your keys and pen could do much more bodily harm than this gadget and its blade.So logically, it shouldn't violate any TSA policies and if you don't point the blade out, they probably wouldn't notice it. If they ask what it is, just rotate the gold part and show them all the screwdriver heads, the ruler and file.

Is the razor sharp cutting edge always exposed (I see that you can spin the middle bronze section, but does it cover the exposed razor sharp edge?)

The middle bronze section covers the cutting edge when it is turned to the opposite end of the strip notch. ( The min/med screw end.)

こういった謎アイテム好きな友人のプレゼント用に購入。友人と説明書を読んでみた。なんだこれ？真ん中のくるくる回る部分が説明書と形状が違うぞ!!いや、４つ角の形状は合ってるが、順番が違うぞ!! これは、果たしてフルに機能を使えるのか？説明書も英語？なので良く分からんしなぁ～友人よ。申し訳ない。

Unbedingt die Anleitung lesen. Ganz viele versteckte Funktionen. Hab wenig dabei. Dieses Tool jetzt aber immer klein an der Gürtelschlaufe. Sehr leicht und mit einem Lederetui auch vor Kratzern geschützt. Schönes Teil zum Verschenken an Menschen die Nix brauchen und Alles haben.
