Seven Ancient Wonders is a roller coaster ride that almost never stops for a breath. One of a seven-book series with excellent characters that twists & turns on every page. In addition you get historical fiction with hints of religion explanations that keeps your mind engaged both in the story as well as what may have been happening in the world during earlier civilizations. And of course, the heroes and villains are fantastic!

A fast-moving, carefully thought out and brilliantly imagined story, with endearing characters and twists and turns at every corner. I actually read the second part of the series first by mistake (six sacred stones), and then bought this to follow the story from the beginning. The wonders and other historic locations (especially the hanging gardens) are so creatively and realistically depicted that you almost believe that this would how they would've actually been (though only in a few places things are stretched a bit). One of the best adventure novels out there!
