I have tried a LOT of incense sticks with different scents, all from different companies- from Nag champa to bright boxes of Hem. I wasn't satisfied with my Sandalwood- scented collection. So, I ordered this one (I use this company's soap bar and thought the incense can't be THAT bad).😝 I checked my local Indian store and it was a dollar more than what is advertised here. So I ordered it from Amazon. It arrived on time and neatly packed. Even before I burnt it, I was quite impressed with the sheer quality of each stick. I was thick and VERY well made. The surface was SMOOTH which I am not used to see with incense from other brands. When I burnt it finally after admiring its 'beauty', I was floored with the scent- it's AWESOME!! Smells like the incense I remember from temples in India.. Simply divine and it does subtly smell like sandalwood. It's not a strong scent though but I am not complaining as I am happy with what I got. I will continue with my search for an incense that smells EXACTLY like sandalwood but in the meantime, this is good. I will definitely be buying more & I will recommend/ gift to a friend too! Thanks for reading 😃

This product is manufactured in Mysore , India and exported to USA. This company is importing from USA and billing you for Transport from INDIA to USA to India plus customs duty in India. Does it sound crazy? yes. Totally unbelievable. And on top of it, it is not mentioned anywhere in the product description. The cost is just Rs.325 in Indian market but you are charged Rs.2315/= ! atrocious. Don't get cheated please.

I find it cute that while they call it the Mysore brand, the box specifies the sandalwood comes from the REGION where finest sandalwood grow, but NOT actually FROM Mysore. ;) From my research Mysore sandalwood is strictly controlled & would be very difficult to find on the market anyway. Nonetheless, this incense has a very pleasant, sweet and woody scent. It also doesn't produce the black, acrid smoke that turned me off incenses years ago. The scent also lasts for a while even after the incense burns out. I never timed the burn time (whoops, if I do that later, I'll come back to update this) but it's surprisingly long. Normally I prefer the core-less incense (like the Japanese brand Nippon Kodo's Morning Star incense line), but this has become my favorite. FYI, I found the scent is pretty close to Nippon Kodo's Morning Star sandalwood incense. I would definitely give this one a try.
