Great figures and set is reasonably fun to play with
I couldn’t wait to get this set because of the cool looking trans-neon green activated golden weapon parts and the new Serpentine. When I got this set, it completely lived up to my expectations. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: The main reason I bought this set was to get the Serpentine warrior figure, who seems to be a remade version of Rattla from the original Ninjago line (though the set doesn't call him that) . The new, sand blue Legacy figure, in my opinion, is awesome. I love his silver knee guards, and the curved lines on his torso that look hypnotic but also remind me of Darth Maul's tattoos (which I really like). In fact, the only thing I don't like about this figure is that it doesn't have printing on the cobra hood. Some other figures that Lego released using the same parts did. The printing does continue onto his back as seen in my pics. This version of Jay in his Epic Battle suit is exclusive to this set. I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of the Epic Battle suite until I saw it in the photos (for starters, adding the words "Epic Battle" before anything just makes it sound terrible) . Now that I have this figure, he's grown on me quite a bit. I particularly like his blue hands and the contrast between the blue and white. The head is the same one we've received for a number of years. While an update would be nice, the head works just fine here. I'm impressed with the amount of detail that went into the trans-neon green activated golden weapons pieces. The shurikin, sword and nunchucks are all based off of actual Lego pieces in existence. This can best be seen by comparing the normal and activated nunchuck pieces. The activated shurikin and sword pieces have a similar level of detail, while the scythe seems to be completely new. The spinner works well and has a lot of force, which I really enjoy playing with. You can mount most figures (not just the two that come in this set) on it. Cons: The main focus of the build is on the figures, so as you would expect, the rest of the set is a bit less exciting. While the statue is cleverly constructed, and looks pretty menacing the other side build is a bit flimsy and I mainly bought this set for the figures. Most people buying this set want the two figures or the activated golden weapons. These things do not disappoint. The statue is also pretty cool as a display piece. The spinner works well, even if the set doesn't have many other play features. While the high price per piece count detracts from this set, I'd still pick this up, especially if you can nab it on sale.

Good
This set was overall good quality, there was an alright number of pieces for how much it cost. But it was very easy to assemble and the only problem I had was putting on Jay's bandana.

Legos
I bought these Legos in each of the three sets. I gave these to my nephews who love Legos. They enjoyed putting the Legos together and then playing with them afterwards.

I Really LIKE This a Lot?
For a $10 set like this is totally worth the money, you get an exclusive Jay minifigure as well as a really detailed Rattla/snake minifigure. Weapon choice is good. The build is really nice to have because it gives off a nostalgic vibe from watching Ninjago back then.

8 year old was happy
Our 8 year old saved his chore money and bought this. He loves it. There aren’t many pieces so I personally feel it’s over priced. It does have a fun spin move.
