Length is good but it's just too shallow. Can't close the lids when I try to steam Broccoli heads or buns. It's only good if you want to steam some asparagus.

I have used the flatter version of this type of steamer for years. This larger deeper model holds more works just as well and is much easier to handle removing from an overhead microwave.

This steamer is a nice size for steaming vegetables, especially longer size like asparagus. It has a convenient steam hole and is fairly sturdy.
