I think its a very functional watch. The face I think is overly large. If it had larger digital face, then I would agree with its size, but it seems overly large for no reason. A ten year battery and it lights up nicely when you push the button. HOWEVER, the reverse digital look, black background and gray numbers doesnt work so well. Its not easily visible like black numbers and gray background. For its price point its a good watch, I just didnt want to struggle seeing the time. Thats just me.

Held up very well during use in military training. Screen scratched a little (after extreme conditions) but still readable. Very sturdy and well made. Buttons are easy to use. Seems like it will hold up for a long time.

This is the 2nd Armitron watch I've purchased. It is the exact same style, but a different color. The previous one lasted almost 8 years! The new blue one looks amazing, I received compliments on the appearance the 1st day I wore it and it works just like the previous...perfectly! These things are the BEST quality and value watch you can buy. They are very stylish and super durable. I even wore my 1st one scuba diving and went down over 80'. I'm glad the old band finally broke (my fault), because I changed color from orange to blue. I LOVE THIS WATCH! If I could give it 6-stars, I would. UPDATE February 2026: my strap finally wore out on the original one I gave the review of above. I still love the watch and it’s great, but I bought the black ones since the blue one was out. Unfortunately, this one has a black face. My picture makes it look like it’s easy to see, but in anything other than bright light it is difficult to see it. I would much rather have the normal background with the dark numbers. The black background is not ideal. Still a great value and a good watch, just really hate the fact that they did this. So I downgraded to a four just for this black face version. Otherwise, if you get the standard ones with the normal red out, still five stars.

I love this watch! I've had it for over six months now, and it's holding up pretty well and functioning perfectly. I love the look of it, especially the little pops of color. Nothing too flashy, but not boring either. It is a larger watch, but some reviewers make it sound like you'll be walking around with a wall clock on your wrist! That's ridiculous. It's not that much bigger than other sport watches I've owned, and it is really practical in its ease of reading quickly while active or at night. The poly (I guess that's how you would decribe the material) "crystal" does scratch fairly easily if you use it for hard use activities like I often do (working in the yard, working out, etc.). I try to keep in mind that I bought it for that purpose and that it only cost around $20, so it's not that big of a deal. But, it definitely looks more expensive that it actually is, and I enjoy wearing it out and about to nicer places too. I've heard some people mention that the buttons get pushed too easily, changing modes without then meaning to. I've only had that happen on a few occasions when I bumped the buttons into something. I've never had them get pushed just from bending my wrist. The upside of having buttons that are a little larger and more accessible makes this watch really handy for timing things quickly and easily. I find myself using it for this on a regular basis. The water resistance seems to be pretty good too. I've worn it in the pool and in the shower, and I've never had a problem. Probably wouldn't recommend diving with it or wearing it in a hot tub, but for most daily use, you should be fine. This won't apply to everyone, but do note that if the colored parts come in contact with bug repellent, it will crinkle and soften. I took it off for applying the bug repellent, but then I strapped it back onto my wrist and wore it for several hours. When I took it off, wherever my skin (with the chemical on it) had contacted the colored parts on the backside of the watch, the paint was basically ruined. Thankfully, it was only on the backside, so you can't see it when I'm wearing it. I've had plastics get damaged in the past in the same way, so it's definitely not just for this watch. But, it is something worth keeping in mind. Over all, it's a great watch for the money, and I wouldn't have felt cheated even if I had paid an extra $10 for it. Great looking watch for a great price. It's hard to ask for much more.

I've worn this model of watch for the past 16 years, always buying the silver front and occasionally working in the gold front(I've purchased at least 10 if not 12 Chronographs over the years). This ones wrist band is lesser made than previous versions and will clearly fail a bit faster and the dark face makes it so you can't actually read the time unless the watch is tilted at the perfect angle. It is way more annoying than I thought it would be as I can't simply glance to see the time, i need to literally move my wrist to a specific degree so the time is visible. For the price, this watch makes as much sense as any other cheap digital watch and it looks fine on your actual wrist but when compared directly to Armitron's Chronograph line up, its the worst I've purchased.

Very durable functional watch for a laborer who has to keep up with time and logs. I bought this watch yrs ago and the battery isn’t dead yet. The lime green is the color I purchased.
