My computer sits inside a desk cabinet (Hemnes computer desk from Ikea), I have an AMD8350 and a GTX970 in there so there was not enough fresh air even with 2 intake fans and 1 exhaust in the case. The exhaust hot air would eventually travel to the front and get feed inside again. Usually playing Fallout 4 I would reach 70c after 15min of play. *Quick review* Aesthetic is awesome Easy to install Easy to use 20c temperature drop inside cabinet. I installed the T9 on the side facing open space and the closest I could to the back of the cabinet where my computer exhaust fan is. I had long removed the front door to the cabinet and there is an opening on the bottom presumably for air flow and wires. With that setup I dropped the GPU temperature to 50c when gaming which is a big improvement and is perfectly fine. I admit that I'm too lazy to get my tower outside the cabinet and monitor the temperature for comparison but from memory it was between 40 and 50, so this T9 is very good at extracting the heat from my cabinet. *Long Review* I've set the control to smart mode at 30c. Which means that it will start at full power as soon as the temperature reach 30c and slowly decrease in speed as the temperature drops below 30c until a certain point (24 i think) where it will stop. My idle temperature is around 21 so when not in use the fans never turns. As soon as I start gaming the temperature rise quickly and so I needed the fan to start at full speed, no need to increase slowly since they will reach maximum speed within minutes anyway. When I stop gaming the temperature drops very quickly as well. Fans are very quiet, my stock cpu fan is a LOT louder than these even if it sits inside the case (a noise insulated Fractal case) inside a cabinet. When they run at full speed I can feel the air at the front getting sucked in. For my need the T9 was overkill, installed vertically, I can feel the top fan exhausting hot air but the bottom one is probably just sucking air from bottom cable vent and so exhaust cool air. A 2 fan model would have been sufficient and the 3 fan model fits pretty tight in the desk. But more is better than not enough. :) Connecting the T9 is very easy with the included 120V power adapter. Packaging was perfect, it feels premium when you open the box and well protected. One thing annoying I don't think the unit I got was new (maybe that it is the mystery rebate), the fans were mounted backward as intake instead of exhaust and one fan protector was not screwed properly. After making sure everything was functional I had to completely disassemble the fans to reverse them. Not so easy to do considering the cable management inside is very tight and there is no instruction to do so. You first have to flip them all and than turn them until you find a working alignment with the cables and casing. Overall this is more expansive than buying 3 good quality computer fans and installing them the same way but this is a lot more aesthetic and easy to control. A home made version would have required to somehow connect the fans to your computers power supply which would prevent you from easily get your case out of the cabinet and they would have been 100% on. You could add an external power adapter, some sort of fan controller or power switch to perfectly mimic the T9 setup and you would still be missing the Aesthetic and probably paid the same. If you need to extract hot air from a cabinet, get one of these AC Infinity product. PS: To those complaining that they don't work first make sure that they are installed has exhaust and not intake and second as they say MANY times in the instruction and in reply to bad review and such, you NEED some form of fresh air vent in your cabinet if you want to actually cool it. Hot air is not actual HEAT, Heat comes from moving electrons in your hardware and their heat is transferred to the surrounding air, the cooler the air the faster heat is extracted. The fans will create something like a wind tunel, sucking cool air from the fresh air vent, that cool air passes through your hardware, grabs heat, and gets ejected from the cabinet. So fan and fresh air placement is very important for maximum efficiency.

This fan is very good. I have not really used the smart features of the fan because I have installed it to cool an inverter rather than in an enclosed cabinet space. That said, the fan itself has exceeded my expectations. It cools the inverter by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius. The fan is so efficient that the inverter's internal fans have, for the most part, stopped coming on because of how well the Airplate T9 cools it. It is also whisper quiet so the noise from the inverter's internal fans (which is the main reason I bought the T9) has essentially been eliminated. I am pleased with this purchase thus far.

I liked the fan itself. It was quiet and seemed to move a fair amount of air. My problem was with the temperature display. The first time I ordered this model, the display was very crooked. Amazon's return processes was painless as always and I promptly ordered another one. I was very disappointed when the second fan display had the exact same problem. I contacted AC Infinity directly to find out if there was an issue with a certain run etc, but there was still no reply over two weeks later. Unfortunately the lack of customer support made me reluctant to keep it and hope that there wasn't a larger issue with the unit. It's a shame because this item suited my needs perfectly. Update 12/17/2015 - AC Infinity contacted me to tell me that the reason that they did not contact me was a problem with the email address on my form. They promptly addresses that problem. Now that I have a unit that is working as intended I have no problem changing my review to 5 stars. The fan moves a good amount of air and is quiet. The 'smart' mode ramps the fan speed up as the probe temperature is reached so that fan does not always run at high speed. It's a good feature. A company that has good customer support is much more valuable to me than a product that never has an issue and in this case they went out of their way to make it right.
