My older daughter and I both felt the previous 1-star review was unfair. She wrote the following review: "Kawaii Polymer Clay Creations is a great book. The author gives clear instructions and shows good photos of all of the steps. Activates are fun and simple and can get the whole family involved. It defiantly helps that Emily Chen teaches with basic shapes. This book gives good ideas and helpful suggestions." Review: Very well explained with lots of step by step pictures and instructions. Would recommend for beginners.

I bought my partner's daughter polymer clay and this book for her birthday and she LOVES it! The pictures are gorgeous and each project is one she wants to make. I compared quite a few books before purchasing, and am glad I made the decision I did.

This book contains instructions for several very cute and relatively simple polymer clay projects. The beginning of the book goes through an explanation of basic tools and techniques required to work with polymer clay, which is useful for beginners. There are step-by-step instructions for each of the 20 projects, and each set of instructions contains both written prompts and colorful, high-quality photographs to help illustrate each step. The projects themselves are adorable, and I have enjoyed trying my hand at making them. I would recommend this book especially for beginners in working with polymer clay, but I imagine anyone could derive inspiration from the projects and techniques presented.
