RhinoShield Bumper Case Compatible with [iPhone 12/12 Pro] | CrashGuard NX - Shock Absorbent Slim Design Protective Cover 3.5M / 11ft Drop Protection - Navy Blue

This is my second Rhinoshield Bumper for my iPhone 12 Pro, I wanted a cheery color for Spring so I purchased the lovely green color. I have a custom photo backplate I ordered directly from Rhinoshield when I purchased my iPhone 12 Pro at release and it is holding up great and still looks nice. Another nice feature of these bumpers is you can switch out the buttons for another color. My first bumper was the matching blue color of my iPhone 12 so I used the blue buttons from it in the new green bumper and I love it. Just a really fun system design wise. Now for durability; I have a farm and I drop my phone a lot, in the past I have used Otterbox but I really wanted something less bulky then the Defender and the case I really love from them, the Pursuit, they have not made for iPhone 12 / 12 Pro. Rhinoshield has been protecting my Apple Watch for a couple years so I decided to take a chance and try them for my phone. My blue bumper has been a champ for protecting my phone against numerous drops on gravel, asphalt, concrete, Pergo, wood floors and linoleum! There is some slight sign of being dropped on the bumper but my phone has zero damage. I have noticed that the proprietary TPU that Rhinoshield uses has self healing properties similar to rotary cutting mats. The bumper also developed a nice patina over time similar to how leather ages. The blue color has not faded or yellowed over the 6+ months of use as can happen with some TPU products. Lastly, my custom photo back plate is in much better condition then I could have expected with age, not much scratching on it and they print the photos/art on the inside to protect it from scratches or marring, very well made product and I will be ordering a second custom plate soon.

This case is amazing. I’ve used it for 3 YEARS! I’ve dropped my phone over a dozen times - down stairs, on a basketball court, getting out of the car and it is still in crazy good shape. No cracks or scratches.

Makes the iPhone less slippery

I ordered this after experience with one from two years ago. That one was harder to remove or put back on than this one is, though it still requires a lot of pressure. I have already dropped my phone once, and no damage to it, though some nicks on the edge of the case. Surface was asphalt parking lot. This case is harder and slicker, and I have seen it slide off of my iPad when tilted with the smart folio in its tri-fold, so not very steep. And on slight angle on sink, where it has slipped into bowl. The Ultra Protective Bumper Case, Military Grade Drop Protection is what I am comparing this one to. That one was a little "sticker."

I read the negative reviews about the color not matching the blue of the phone, that the material makes it not easy to hold, and that it’s hard to get on and off. I respectfully disagree with all! The blue isn’t an exact match but I feel they compliment each other. The bumper is not made of squishy silicone like some I’ve had but I’ve not had any issues hanging onto this one. I’ve taken the bumper off once. Yes, it’s snug, but it needs to be. Even with my arthritic fingers I was able to both put it on and take it off. I also like that a thin protective film is part of the package. Now I have a glass protector on the front, a protector over the camera lense, the thin film on the back, and the bumper. I feel as though my phone is totally protected without making it too big and bulky. I’m a satisfied shopper!

I like it. Minimal design . What is odd that I ordered the matcha green and two weeks later , purple/black marking have transferred to it so it’s not as pretty any more.

Rigid but flexible, the bumper takes a bit of effort to slide on and off, which is a good thing. Once it is on, it isn’t going anywhere (I’ve had thin cases pop a corner under the right kind of pressure in a pocket, like when crouching during work, and this feels like that would never happen). The buttons are easy to feel and press, and the cutouts are precise and generous enough to not interfere with speakers, cables, or the physical mute switch. There is extra depth to the lip on the back to accommodate the camera bump, but it doesn’t interfere with wireless charging on larger pads, and the back is clear for mag accessories. There are small cutouts presumably for the antenna (?), and I haven’t noticed a degradation of signal. The front lip is very subtle so while it will keep the face off of a flat surface, it doesn’t look too chunky. The surface is slightly textured and feels nice and grippy in the hand. It feels like part of the phone body. I’ve owned a lot of protection for a lot of phones over the years, and this one edges out the others as my favorite. I was dubious at the high price, but the positive reviews swayed me, and I have no regrets. I feel like I’m getting more in the way of construction and design for my money. It exceeded my expectations.

Fits perfectly. Smooth feel. Color has not altered over time nor use. It enhances the green color of the phone which is one tone lighter. Great match!

The item that has arrived has been used and it’s not new. Moreover, I ordered a blue navy color while I received a black one in poor condition. I hope this wasn’t done intentionally.

Great product. It’s saved my iPhone 12 a couple of times when I’ve dropped it getting out of the car. Not a scratch on the phone or the bumpers.
