Still looks new after a year
Had this red Dodge key fob cover for about a year now and it’s been solid. Good quality, no cracks, no fading, and still looks clean. Fits perfect and does the job. Easy 5 stars.

Solid quality all around
Excellent easy to use, easy to install board inside of it, has a nice feel to it, nice finish, nice color, buttons function properly, great buy, only thing to remember is to swap your key out or get the key it comes with cut to fit yours. Don’t end up in an emergency and not be able to use your key because you forgot to swap your old one or didn’t get it cut

Great Replacement Shell – Easy and Cost-Effective
My original key fob was falling apart and no longer working correctly. The outer padding had come off, exposing the internal components and letting moisture in, which caused further damage. Replacing the entire key fob was going to cost over $200, so I looked for a more affordable solution and decided to try replacing just the outer casing. After some research, I ordered this key fob shell replacement. Once it arrived, the swap was quick and easy—I simply transferred the internal parts from my old key fob into the new shell and reassembled it. I also replaced the battery so everything would be fresh. The new shell works great overall, except for the lock button. I realized that with the old casing so worn down, I must’ve damaged the contact point inside, so the lock function no longer engages electronically. I now lock my car manually, but considering the savings, I can live with that. If you're dealing with a worn-out key fob and want a budget-friendly alternative, I definitely recommend this. Just keep in mind that if the internal components are already damaged, some buttons might not function perfectly. Otherwise, it's a simple and cost-effective fix!

Great product
Very good fit, even had a rubber gasket where the housing comes together to help with waterproofing. I would order again without hesitation. Vehicle: 2016 Dodge Charger, 5 button fob.

Won’t fit the cut key of a 18’ renegade but works fine
Own a 2018 jeep renegade and I bought this cause the buttons on my fob were cracked. So I was just doing a she’ll swap. This case does not fit the cut key of my renegade. Luckily with a little effort I was able to fit the original back plate onto the front of this one. It wasn’t a perfect snap situation but it worked. Buttons are sturdy and looks exactly like I expected. I would buy it again if I need another one

Perfect Fit! Easy swapping!
Perfect fit for my 2014 Dodge Charger key fob. Both of my key fobs were original and the buttons started to fail and crack. I used a very small flat head screwdriver to pop off the original internal board and inserted into this new one. The metal key fit snuggly in the new case as well. The buttons are crisp and snappy and work perfectly!

Can be made to work
There is significantly more to this product than meets the eye. What meets the eye is an attractive price and a set of gorgeous photographs. But there MAY be significant challenges and gotchas in implementation. Before I get into the details, it is important to understand that this is an aftermarket product, which means it is an inexact copy of your OEM case, not identical to your original case. I am not claiming that it is being marketed as an OEM product nor am I complaining that it is not an OEM product, I assumed it was not OEM before I bought it. Indeed, my original case has a jeep emblem on the back, whereas this replacement does not, no surprise there. First, the circuit board is indexed in the original remote with a plastic pin that fits through a hole in the board. I found it necessary to slice this off with a hot knife to get the board out of the old case. After installing the board in the new case it may be necessary to melt down the top of the pin in the new case a little bit with a hot metal object to hold that corner of the board down for reliable operation of the buttons. Once you do that, you may not be able to take it out and put it back in again without getting a another new case. Second, the OEM remote contains functionality enabling you to still start the car if the battery dies in the remote by holding it near the car’s start button while pressing that button. It could be very important to retain this functionality in case the remote’s battery happens to die and you don’t have a spare while you are far from civilization. I haven’t tried to test this functionality but I noticed that the original remote appeared to have a cylindrical component that may be an element embedded into the back of the original case that the replacement product of course does not have. I did not verify whether this backup functionality is a function of said element or whether that functionality is implemented on the circuit board but, based on the rationale that that element is there for a reason, whether for that purpose or any other, I concluded that the best option should be to utilize the front of the new case with the back of the old one. (Given that the reason I am replacing the case is that the key caps on the front of the old case had completely broken out of the case and I didn’t need to replace the back) And I knew that this would of course depend on the shapes of the front of the aftermarket case and the back of the OEM case being compatible enough for them to snap together and stay together. Well I just snapped them together a little while ago so time will tell if they will stay together—but convincing them to snap together required quite a bit of futzing by a mechanically inclined person using an astonishing variety of special vises, clamps and pliers. Enough futzing that I don’t want to take it back apart again just to test if the backup start functionality is indeed a function of the element that appears to be embedded into the back of the OEM remote case. I can’t use my other remote to test that functionality because my car, (a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee bought used) only came with one. And I dread the exercise I’ll have to go through the next time I have to replace the battery in the remote. If time tells that the two halves don’t stay snapped together, my plan is to put in a fresh battery, clamp them together again, add a few drops of cyanoacrylate glue in strategic places in the crack between the halves and use a knife to deal with that next time I have to open the case after that. Again, I have NOT verified that the backup start functionality is a function of something embedded in the back of the original remote case but IF it is, people not retaining the back of the original case may be throwing away that functionality with their old case without realizing it. If I learn more about this I’ll come back and update this review. Whew! If you’re still awake: Then there is the matter of the mechanical key. Why they even bother to include a new key blank with the replacement case is not clear to me, unless you’re buying the case in order to get a new mechanical key. You can probably buy a new key without buying a new case, but whatever. I just stuck my old key into my new/old conglomerate case and it latched in ok. As to the button markings, they look great but they look simply printed on so I expect they’ll wear off before long. I now have a fully functional remote without spending a lot of money at a dealership but it did cost time and ingenuity as well.
