My first Mortal Kombat figure!
This is my first McFarlane figure since the original Spawn line was discontinued. Unlike that one which was more like statues with a few points of articulation, this Shao Khan is an actual action figures. The overall colour scheme is nice and I especially like the gold used as it looks really shinny. The legs seems to be missing a lot of paint, probably to save cost. If you would like to make him look even better, consider painting those parts yourself.

Awesome quality!
Amazing quality figurine. Stands super well with included base detail is fantastic. The value in these figurines is just incredible compared to other manufacturers. I’m currently collecting all the Mortal Kombat ones they’ve come out with recently, all of them are great.

Fatality....... I win!
McFarlene is doing an outstanding job with the Mortal Kombat line as each figure has been outstanding in terms of Detail and articulation. Many sharp pieces (I admittedly will grow bored and play with them so it can kinda hurt to play with them a bit) so it is not really something for young kids. Still there are many characters in the Mortal Kombat Universe and I hope they can get to all of them.

What to know before buying.
The figure sculpt is fantastic. The attention to detail is excellent. However, I have 4 grievances: 1. The figure's hands are well sculpted. So much so that it is very difficult to slide the hammer into his hands. If the hands weren't so tight, it would make accessorizing him much easier. Also, I don't understand why they didn't design him with multiple hands in mind. I would've happily paid more if he had that as an additional feature. 2. The figure's joints are very stiff. While I was able to carefully get each and every joint to move as intended, the amount of pressure necessary to move them makes me incredibly afraid that I will snap the limb off. This of course means posing him isn't as easy as you would think. 3. The paint job is very good, especially on the upper half of the figure. However, their choice of colors for the lower half leaves much to be desired. At a distance, it doesn't matter, but upon closer inspection, the fact that they use very similar shades of brown for the exposed feet, the sandals, the scaled skin, and the shin guards, well, it all blends in together. Again, at a distance, no issue. Close up is when it's noticeable. 4. Last but not least, the hammer. Honestly, this is what is making me give him 4 stars instead of 5. The hands I can live with. I've figured out how to get the hammer in them. It's a pain but whatever. The joints, a warm bath can easily loosen them up. The paint job, I can remedy that myself, no prob. The hammer though...the flimsy rubber used for the handle just ruins it for me. It easily bends and flexes in such a way that any dynamic pose just, well, it just looks goofy. And I know this may sound so nitpicky but yeah, that's the one thing that really gets to me. That stupid hammer. Overall, I really do love this figure. I can't wait to get the Noob Saibot and Kabal figures to round out my mains collection.

Great as Expected
The appearance is spot on. It's very well made. My only gripe is the posability is a bit lacking, especially in the arms. Also one of the hands was fused shut so it couldn't hold the hammer as advertised on the box. But overall, really cool figure, and I'm glad they finally made one of Shao Kahn.

Christmas gift for my MK fan who plays with these regularly. The detail on these figures are very good. Makes his battles against He-Man and WWE figures all the better. Durable enough for an 8 year old to batter. Probably more of a collectible but it works as a toy.

Figure looks excellent, however range of motion in some areas like the shoulders is hindered by the additional armour pieces on the arms, the legs however are particularly difficult due to the lack of any kind of swivel joint in the upper leg or even above the knee making it really difficult to find any pose that isn't standing upright with legs together, their range is also hindered by the rigidity of his belt and the mold of his hip the ab crunch, while present barely moves due to the mold and his hands are very rigid while his hammer is very flexible, meaning that fitting it into his hand can be very difficult, overall he's a great looking figure of shao Kahn, but it's mobility really lets it down, however in my experience that appears to be a mcfarlane toys issue rather than an issue with this specific figure or line, he's great for the collection, but I think he'll be the last mcfarlane figure I buy

I was very impressed with the amount of detail that is on this action figure. 7 inches tall with lots of points of articulation. I wish McFarlane would make 12 in figures of Shao Kahn, Mileena, D'vorah & Scorpion. A great addition to any gamer or collector. Gold looks extra nice.
