Waterproof Zippered Plastic Mattress Protector Encasement, Vinyl Mattress Bed Cover Proof (Queen Size) White

Cheap, but serves it's purpose which was to protect a mattress in storage and preserve it from dust and mildew and mold. It's not what you want to sleep on.

Horrible!! I was barely covering my mattress with it and the plastic/vinyl it says it is, ripped right away, I was not pulling on it hard at all, very thin& cheaply made. I had already threw my old one away and these are a hassle to get over your mattress, so I just figured I would leave it for the time being& just buy me a totally different one. And as I went to zip it up the zipper was broke! Needless to say I still left it on the bed so there is a protectant because my elderly father occasionally has accidents and I don’t like it leaking through to the mattress.

This was an item which popped up after shopping for some time for a truly bug proof encasement for a used mattress (non pillowtop). Concerns about vinyl material have apparently narrowed the production/ availability of this traditionally used protection --which I couldn't find elsewhere. This was not a next day shipment, but it was well worth the wait. [file photo does not accurately depict the quality of this item]

Would not recommend because the zipper was broken or broke right after removing from the packaging. The quality of the plastic is good. It's very heavy duty plastic/vinyl, but the zippers are EXTREMELY poorly designed. I ordered a full and a queen size. The queen size zipper completely broke half way zipping it up. I ended using duct tape to tape the end pieces together. The full mostly zipped up, but as you can see in the picture the clear plastic that holds the zipper to the stronger white plastic is VERY THIN AND FRAGILE. AIt rips away from both the zipper and the white plastic easily or (in my case) was already seperated/ripped away). I had to duct tape it as well. Because I needed both covers immediately and I was able to make them work with duct tape I went ahead and opted to keep them but next time I'm just going to go back to Walmart.

These are a bit thinner than they used to be back in the day, but so far they stay strong and haven't ripped. The biggest problem is the thin, cheap, plastic zipper - if you get it caught it will very easily ruin the zipper. One of mine came damaged already and another one snagged too easily in my opinion and now cannot be fixed so I won't ever be able to use it. I learned that I can only allow a very careful person to place these on mattresses. Still worth doing, as long as they don't tear easily just from people sleeping on it or something. But the zippers need to be better quality - metal with reinforced stitching would be good. They fit as described, don'tmake too much noise under the cotton mattress pads and fitten sheets I use. Super easy to wipe clean. Don't interfere with the co.fort of the bed at all. Otherwise, easy to use and they provide the best kind of waterproof layer, in my opinion you cannot beat vinyl for these mattress covers

Not the best quality, rips easily. It did fit the mattress and works for the most part. Easy to wipe down. Not washable in the washer though. Seems to be waterproof. Once sheets are on bed it not too noisy but it is slightly noisy when moving around. Easy to apply to mattress.
