I have used Crew Forming Cream for years, and have occasionally tried different products, but none have ever been a close match. This Forming Cream from Level 3 is my new go-to. It is a bit stiffer in your hands, but once its goes on and sets into your hair, its a pretty similar hold (if not a bit stronger) and low shine. It does have a pretty strong scent, but luckily I like it. I have pretty thick and straight hair, and this product works well for me.

I bought this because the L3 website says it's great for fine hair, but it adds a it of shine which is typically NOT recommended for fine hair, which is why I took a star away. I do still think it's a really good product. Nicer hold than I expected and I love the scent though it's a bit strong. Solid hold and I think it's worth adding to your drawer for occasional use, but if you have fine hair like me it's probably best to stick to a matte clay/fiber pomade.

Pros: subtle scent smells good but not overpowered. Water based so easy to rinse out. Hold is strong. Wet look Cons: not a cream and not as style able Overall this is more like a hair gel. It's kinda heavy and weighs down hair and doesn't give volume if you have thin hair. I'd compare it to the gorilla hair gel glue. Cheap but not really a forming cream but more like hair gel

Finally a men’s product that works with my hair. I have medium length very fine hair and it’s impossible to find a product that doesn’t make my hair completely stiff we’re I can’t run my fingers through it or is so delicate my hair just falls out of place. Definitely recommended
