Exellent and worth the investment
It seems there are two groups of people: those who love the mesh like seats and those who don't. Personally I find Herman Miller chairs to be the most comfortable, especially for long periods. The pellicle material more evenly distributes body weight and creates fewer "pressure points". I have an Aeron at work and bought this Mirra 2 for home. Comes pre-assembled which is very helpful and everything about the chair is high quality. This model has every possible adjustment so it's impossible not to find a comfortable position. One difference between these and the Aeron's is that you tend to sit "on" these more than "in" the Aeron, so choose your seating style accordingly. These not only come with tilt/recline, but a knob to adjust tension, and arms are movable in all directions. These also come with a 12 year warranty, so for me it made sense since I tended to get 2 years out of a normal office chair before they came unscrewed/ripped/etc. At $200 per, the cost is equal, but the quality is higher, and my environmental impact is less since I am only buying a single chair. We have also had those at work for 10+ years and they still look and feel brand new. The design is also very sleek and modern and adds an air of sophistication to any room that a cheapo chair just doesn't. I highly recommend this and any Herman Miller product, they are well worth the investment.

Good chair, bad seller
I bought this chair as "like new" from Office Logix Shop. The chair is good, the seller is terrible. It was packaged with no packing material to keep the parts from damaging each other in transport, just plastic bags. It does not have forward tilt adjust. It came without any casters. They would not send replacement parts so I ordered some from Amazon. These work great with the Mirra 2: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09D9Q9TPB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Wish I bought one sooner
Bought the modern fabric-covered model with full adjustability. Got lucky with a "used" model. I sure couldn't tell it was used, still had new plastic smell. Thanks Amazon warehouse! So I never sat in a mesh style chair before, and I must lament my ignorance, it is the only style of office chair anyone should consider. Especially after years of dealing with cushioned chairs going flat. All adjustments are easy and intuitive, the lumbar support is very well designed and spread out comfortably. The rocking feature is very nice, and the tension adjustment is the strongest I ever experienced. For reference I am 190lbs and 5'11". Can I stay in one position comfortably for hours in this chair? No, but it has so many ways of quickly adjusting that makes enduring long hours at the desk pain free and pleasant. And I can tell this chair will be durable for the next decade easily. Oh, the arm rest pads are glorious. Herman Miller makes the best arm rests ever.

Frustrated with lack of adjustments.
I have had this chair for 2.5 years and I really want to love this expensive chair. I sit in it 8-10 hours a day and have become frustrated with the inability to adjust the lean of chair back. I have tried adjusting seat tilt and lower back support but cannot get find a way to feel supported while sitting up straight. After a long day/week I have started switching to my $99 desk chair for a change… not a comfortable chair either. Ugh!

Couldn't ask for a better chair
Love my chair very much it is very comfortable and high quality came only in a couple of parts so assembly wasn't a hassle whatsoever. Makes WFH and gaming in my computer possible with sitting so much

Fast Shipping and in 5 minutes I had my Chair Ready to use
This is by far the best Office Chair I have used. I have one at the office and I can sit for hours without any back pain or pain in the "buttocks" (a Forest Gump quote :-) ) I decided to purchase one for remote work since my old office chair, after a few hours, my whole body was aching even when the back and bottom pillows were added. This is just a fantastic, well-done office chair. It is worth it, the price you will have to pay. Your body will thank you and I highly recommend it.

Not adjustable enough for the price
Lumbar support does not go down far enough for me. Seat depth not quite as good as I want it. the bottom of the seat does not adjust in tilt.

finish is not good enough for the price
If you are used to executive chairs, this is not the chair you might looking for. finish is not good enough for the price. poor quality tilt and locking mechanism. is it comfortable? yes, it is. is it worth the money? of course it is. is it 19 times comfortable than Amazon basics mesh chair? absolutely not will people buy used Herman Miller chair? I don't think so. either get cheap, yet comfortable, chair every couple year, or get long durable slightly more comfortable with brand name chair. it's up to you.

This is my favorite chair. Also had Aeron (pre-2016), SteelCase Leap 2 and Mirra 1 before. Compared to the Aeron it is very similar but I prefer the harder back on the Mirra seats. Aeron also has a plastic lip at the front of the seat which can fatigue your hamstrings after a while, this seems the same on Aeron post-2016. Mirra has this rounded and with the flex it can be changed to fit you correctly. The Mirra is around $300 cheaper. Compared to SteelCase Leap, very different styles of chair. Leap I would say has better ergonmics/adjustability with its seat position. The Leap would be my choice if I had to sit for over 8 hours as its padding and adjustability seem to feel better over a very long period. The Mirra is better for lower amounts of time as it has a softer seat with the mesh (as does Aeron) and I've sat in it for 8-10 hours before many times and it fares well but the Leap edges it out.The Leap is ok when you first sit in it the Mirra 2 is very nice feeling. Mirra 2 allows you to tilt chair forward quite a lot, this is really nice and the Leap cannot go as far as the Mirra 2. Leap is about the same price as Mirra but is harder to find. The Mirra looks more professional imho. Compared to Mirra 1, the butterfly back is nice but not necessary. The real advantage is slightly more comfortable mesh, arms are better positioned and adjustable but the tilt forward mechanism is the biggest and best change, really help alleviate hamstring pressure when leaning forward to type etc.

The Mirra 2 is Herman Miller's mid-ranged desk chair, and one of the better values if you're buying for yourself. While the base model of the Mirra 2 has good value, I'd recommend the fully loaded model - especially if you envision your desk space changing over time, or if you want the most out of the chair. At work I use a similarly equipped Aeron and find the two chairs to to be similar. Aesthetically, I like the Mirra 2 and find both to be great desk chairs. However, the Aeron does have more configuration options. To that point, if you're much larger or smaller than average you'd probably want to try the Mirra 2 in person or look at an Aeron in a different size. The Mirra 2 is well built and highly configurable, allowing for a good ergonomic fit and encouraging good posture. Every aspect of the chair works well and I prefer the control mechanisms on this over the Aeron. Some may dislike the fabric used on the chair, but I find it to be breathable and more comfortable over the day. The warranty provided by Herman Miller is great, however I can't comment on actually going through a warranty claim. But, I trust in the brand. Overall I give this chair high praise. I wish the lumbar support was more adjustable than it is, but is by no means bad and much better than nothing.
