EDIT - 7 MONTHS AFTER THE ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have now amended this review from 2 stars to 5 stars following my experience with the company and their new product. I decided to send a copy of my original review to the manufacturer, not really expecting much, however, I was contacted a week or so after the event to say they had reviewed my comments and amended the manufacturing process and materials and would send me a new item once the chances had been made. This arrived today and I am much more impressed with the quality of the product (see the video) and it was a very pleasant surprise to find the company willing to make such significant changes based on customer feedback. Original review (originally titled 'Lovely concept, poor execution'): I very rarely write product reviews but for this I decided to make an exception. The idea of this is a lovely one, and my 11 month old seems to like the bright colours, textures and size of the small cylinders, however, as an adult I can't help but feel like the quality control is seriously lacking. The pictures I have included are from my second (replacement) order of this product after I returned the first due to horrible gluey marks on the textures, missing varnish on the base plate and general poor quality. This one doesn't seem to be much better, with imperfect circles, a small chunk out of the base plate and colour mismatches due to the difference in colour underneath, but my little one seems to like it so I have decided to keep it given it was bought with a gift voucher for him anyway. Final verdict: Concept is lovely but if you purchase, be prepared for it to be pretty poor quality...

Great tactile sensory toy! This is one of my preschoolers favorites. Nice sturdy wooden board with a variety of different textures to feel and match. I like the variety and the size of the pieces. Compared to other comparable tactile boards this was good value for your money,

At 15mo, my son is really fickle about what he plays with and mostly it’s regular household items. I noticed he is drawn to touching different materials so I hesitatingly ordered this & it’s a great success! He has consistently played with this for a few weeks now (although he doesn’t know how to match them). I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality — the inner materials don’t fray or break apart, the wood feels study, and there are no rough corners. The board is a good size and the inner circles are small enough to fit his hand comfortably, but large enough that I don’t worry about choking. The bottoms are very smooth & best of all, everything feels durable. I’d highly recommend this for children transitioning between infant hood and toddlerhood.

Absolutely love these. Each circle is a different texture, under the circle is the same texture as in the circle. My children have loved exploring these. Think the value for money here is fab.
