These earrings are perfect for little girls. These are hypoallergenic, stay securely in the ear, are inexpensive, and are also attractive and well-made. I had my 1 year-old daughter's ears pierced and she promptly started losing the new-style piercing earrings that do not have locking backs. That first year after being pierced it is critical to keep earrings in the new holes to ensure they stay open. After losing two pairs of overpriced studs, and myriad cheap pairs of regular earrings, I decided to try and find earrings that locked in place like I used back in the 80's. I was thrilled to find these. My daughter has had no negative reactions to these earrings. They stayed in place well, allowing her holes to heal perfectly. The locking backs do make these a little more difficult to put on and remove, but that also makes them more secure. My daughter likes the selection of colors, especially that there are two shades of pink. We have lost a couple of these earrings over time, but lasting 4+ -months- makes these so much more economical than earrings that were lost or broken within a a few days. One thing to be aware of, these have thicker posts than most earrings. The initial insertion may be uncomfortable due to this.

My ears are so sensitive I can barely wear anything. These studs allowed me to do all 3 of the cartilage and the second holes right above the plugs on both ears on the same day with no pain and minimal healing discomfort. Less than 2 weeks and still no adverse reaction or infection with a lot of pain like I usually get by now, even with implant grade stainless steel, I always ended up having to let the holes close and take antibiotics. These studs have created no issue. I'm also using the studex brand advanced 2 in 1 Piercing Cleanser and Aftercare which I ordered separately from the studex universal piercing gun and these additional studs. The cleanser doesn't burn or dry my skin out like other brands do. Didn't get all of this to do professional piercing, just wanted it for me and my kids. But so far I've gifted a few friends with the studs I wasn't going to use and pierced them easily and pain free as well. Don't buy those cheap $10 guns with the really bad studs. Unless you want your ears to possibly turn black and fall off. Spend a bit extra and get studs like these with a studex universal gun. They sparkle and have every birth stone. They're small but not too small. I don't intend to change them out. Note that these studs are 16g. That isn't too thick as some have suggested, it's a very appropriate thickness especially for cartilage and less pain. Trust me. And remember these are designed for fresh piercing, not placing in existing holes which may or may not be 16g thick. That would be uncomfortable.

These are the same as the type of earring you get your ears pierced with. They do not rust, they do not tarnish, and they are non reactive. Swim, bike, run, yoga in them with no issues. Back stays firmly on the earring. One should note the this is a 16g sized post. They are thicker than your standard earring post that you are probably used to. If your holes are small or partially closed up, these will be a tight fit.

I got my ears pierced with these studs when I was 12 years old. I have an adverse nickel allergy and these have never inflamed my ears. I am 41 and still use these in second plus piercing locations. Please be mindful, they are a tad larger than most posts you would get in typical earrings so upon entry into the earring hole they might irritate some people who gave smaller earring holes. Wait patiently. They will not stretch your ear out.

Great set of starter posts (they have the locking backs), but the set does NOT come with the advertised piercing gun. Since I didn't want the gun, all was OK.

Woke up to a missing earring which is strange because they are pretty difficult to take out but it happens. Found these Studex ones that I'd been pierced with forever ago (the earring that came off was not Studex). I know this brand is reliable because I got pierced many many many moons ago and still have the original earrings at the tops of my earlobes so seeing how durable they are, I grabbed this set. These are great. Awesome price for all the colors, even better. They are extremely sturdy and will last forever. I've left them in my cleaning dish over the weekend and they are totally fine sitting in solution for days (I dont recommend that but it happens). The only issue I has was that they are REALLY hard to remove. But if you dont plan on removing them often then you cant go wrong with these. Also, keep in mind the posts on these are thicker than the standard earrings, I believe it's because they are piercing earrings. But they're great!
