Absolute lifesaver
Worked like an absolute gem! I flushed my toothbrush on accident and it was lodged in the toilet pretty deep but with some patience I was able to use this thing to drag it out. Saved me sooo much money in plumbing costs. It does take a while to get the hang of but it’s pretty long and as long as you’re careful, it won’t bend or break.

Don't buy
Horrible. Broke on the first use. The trigger to the grabber is weak and flimsy. A normal pull of the trigger broke the entire mechanism, rendering it useless.

A happy buyer!
I am so happy I bought this toilet auger/grabber. It's well made, easy to use, and absolutely well worth the price....and works exactly as advertised! Saved me a bunch of money not having to call a plumber. A rubber dog toy had been flushed down the toilet and was wedged way down in the toilet piping. It took a few tries over a 5-7 minute period, but the auger eventually grabbed the toy. So if it doesn't work immediately, keep trying until the auger grabs whatever is clogging your toilet or drain.

It works if you use a light push
It seems to work well getting into the piping of the toilet. But you can't use too much force or you'll bend the aluminum telescopic framing and ruin it. On my first use, the spring wiring at the end of the snake started to unravel. Definitely NOT a professional tool. But it may be useful for light clogs or for grabbing items that have fallen into drains.

It worked
I couldn’t get my toilet unstopped so I ordered this and it saved me from having to call a plumber. A bar of soap fell into the toilet and got stuck. I didn’t know what had it clogged until I pulled the soap out piece by piece. The only negative thing that I can say about this tool is that it can scratch up the inside of the toilet, but I guess it was worth it.

Pulled Clorox wand head from toilet
One of our teenage daughter’s chores is to clean the toilet. She was using the Clorox toilet wand w/disposable wand head to clean their hall toilet. If you’ve used the Clorox toilet wand, the tabs on the replacement wand heads don’t always stick as well as they should on the wand tip & it came off in the toilet. And in our daughter’s infinite teenage wisdom, instead of telling us, she thought it would be fine to flush the wand head down the toilet… The disposable head did flush down and was no longer visible in the toilet bowl but it did become a blockage to our daughters horror. After noticing she seemed to be exclusively using other toilets in the house, she finally told us what happened. Instead of calling for what would be a pretty pricey but quick plumber visit, we figured $26 toilet snake grabber was worth a shot. I can’t speak for the build quality or longevity of this tool, but for our 1X use; IT WORKED!! It quickly grabbed/retrieved the Clorox wand head from within the toilet trap. I couldn’t believe it…So for our 1 stated need for this tool, we rate 5/5. So happy this tool worked & helped us avoid a much more expensive visit from a plumber!

Amazing Auger!!
An amazing product that is extremely well made. After my 3 year old flushed a toothbrush down the toilet, I was advised to remove the toilet and retrieve it from underneath. I read about toilet augers, online and decided to give it a try. Within 30 seconds, the toothbrush was retrieved!!! It came with velcro so my toilet wasn’t scratched. Fantastic product!!!

Terrible
If I could give it no stars I would. It broke as soon as i took it out of the package. Worst money spent ever

So I knocked an small aerosol can into the toilet just as I was flushing it after cleaning the bowl and it got sucked up to the point I could not grab it . . . I tried everything for 4 days *hanger, grabbers, magnets, vacuum + )(luckily I had 2 toilets) - except taking the toilet off but I don't think that would help because it was stuck in the middle, just about to call the plumber read the review with the vaseline jar and I thought I would try this! Two minutes later . . . problem solved. The the tool is easy to use and the claw works well with the hand squeeze trigger. The claw holds really well. I had a finger push grabber and it was too difficult to push and hold a bigger item. I am sure it will work well for other odd situations. Definitely a keeper! PS - did not scratch my toilet what so ever . . . you don't open the claw until you get to the blockage, it was simple and easy to use

First use the handle snapped, straight in the bin

I have no idea what this would be affective inn unclogging. I wish I would have read it more clearly. It is a grabber not a snake. I can be used one clogged sinks unless it is an open hole. I grabs wet toilet paper but if your clog is bigger and something big that may have fallen in, I'm not sure it would work. For a clogged toilet I think a snake is needed.

Awesome tool. I was experiencing a clog in my toilet randomly and I wasn’t sure why. I bought an accordion plunger to help and it still wasn’t working. I got a quote from a plumber but was quoted 250 for them to use a snake to fix. No way was I going to pay that when I could do it myself. So I bought this tool, within 5 minutes of receiving it, I headed straight to the toilet and pulled out a bracket that was accidentally flushed in there. It didn’t take very long, maybe 5 minutes or so with trial and error - but as soon as I got the hang of it, it was game over for the clog. Clog gone, and saved lot of $$. Rating 4 stars because apart of the spring that extends the snake looked like it was coming apart. It might be good for maybe 1-2 more uses (never had to use a snake in my life so hopefully I never need to use it again) but hey, I’m happy it worked for this one.
