Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Chews Dog Treats – All-Natural, Single-Ingredient, Grain-Free, 16 oz

Great treat for my husky. I cut them into smaller pieces. Can be very hard, maybe not good for tiny dogs that cannot chew them up well. I have a hard time cutting them into smaller pieces sometimes , not all pieces are that hard. Softer in centers. Great that’s it’s only sweet potatoes and nothing else. I can recommend for all big dogs, Husky’s are mid size but strong teeth and bite.

I started buying these big chews often because my growing Rottie loves them! Sadly the quality of this brand has declined over the past 3 bags I’ve purchased. First, they sent me the wrong size bag of small bites awhile back and I had to jump thru hoops to get it replaced but they had to replace them since I paid for the 1 lb bag of larger chews. They let me keep the bites though and they were small and rock hard. I couldn’t give those to my dog, he’d choke! The replacement bag they sent arrived damp and moldy so I had to throw it out and now the bag I received today are rock hard, and overly dried out pieces (picture above). My dog won’t even eat them… And he eats everything!! Since they’re non returnable or refundable, I know I’m taking a gamble whenever I buy them on whether they’ll be really good or inedible. Lately they’ve been inedible. =\ And the disclaimer they put on their description stating the texture may vary is irrelevant because a little harder is understandable, ROCK hard chews are not!! So now I’ve ordered another brand- Caledon Farms here on Amazon and I can only hope that they are fresh and high quality!! It really sucks to have to spend so much money just to find good, natural treats tho! I’m out $14 again on a bag I have to throw away! The things we do for our pups!

These treats are SO fresh that you can see the drippings from the potato glisten when it hardened! Then are also stuck together and very soft. My dogs LOVE them! Definitely recommend them. I give them to my dogs as a healthy treat every night!

My mixed breed dog absolutely loves these. She has a very sensitive stomach and does well with them. Yes, there are different shaped pieces and slices in the bag, but overall, I was able to treat my dog with different shapes no problem. I have been purchasing this exact brand sweet potato chews in the 8oz size from a local store. When I saw that Amazon had them as well and in a larger size to boot, I decided to order online. As my dog does have digestive issues/food allergies as mentioned, I shoot for one ingredient treats when possible. I have to be very picky, because so many things that other dogs can eat can give my dog bouts of colitis/gastritis. My second requirement is that I try to choose treats both sourced and packaged in the U.S.A. The 8oz bags I have been picking up locally clearly state that the potatoes are from the U.S., and that they are packaged here as well. I received the 16oz bag of Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Chews that I ordered from Amazon today. Although the packaging looks identical in every way that I can see to the 8oz bags I have been buying here locally; on the back of the bag where the manufacturing information lives it now says sourced and packaged in Peru. I rechecked the image on the Amazon page, and the bag very clearly shows that it was a U.S. made product per the photo. I have absolutely no way of objectively evaluating whether one is better than the other. Nor am I saying that the Peruvian chews are not absolutely fine. It is just a personal preference to buy American made when possible and I appreciate the transparency of knowing where both my food, and my dog's food is grown and packaged. I am hoping that the information/images on the Amazon page for this product gets updated to accurately reflect this information. As perhaps others would also like to know where their pet food items are being produced so they can make an informed decision before purchasing.

My dog loved these! If I give her a bully stick or tendon at the same time she will eat her veggies first! Not smushy or rock hard. Just right! I got a different brand once and my dog wouldn’t eat them. This is the best tasting one for her that gives her the fiber she needs in an easy and tasty way. It’s a great price and way easier than trying to dehydrate my own. Doesn’t smell bad and only has ONE ingredient. I have it as a Subscribe and Save since she loves them so much. Under her leg is a 6 inch bully stick she just ignored until she finished her veggies.

My dog loved the first bag of sweet potato chews, they were soft to eat. I bought a second bag of the sweet potato chews and some pieces are too big they, so I wanted cut them half and this they are so hard I couldn’t cut them. I bent the chew in half and they made a snap sound. My dog will not eat them this time. I will not buy these again.

My dogs love these treats! They each get one in the morning before we leave and they are their favorite snacks. These replaced dog biscuits and now they won't even look at biscuits.

I have 2 very small dogs so I cut them in half before I give them to my pups. I also let them dry out a bit before I give it to them so they have to chew a little bit harder🐶

My Golden Retriever gets one at every meal so I always have to make sure I’m not paying too much. She grabs it and takes it to her “special spot” to eat.

Our dog absolutely loves these treats, but need to control how many he gets as they are not inexpensive
