They are a powerful speaker
These woofers perform very well. I have them in 9.5 cubic foot boxes tuned to 27hz. They are getting maximum peaks of around 1400 watts. I am using them from 25 to 100hz. I hope they hold up. So far i can't hardly believe the are as good as they seem, they definitely make LOW frequencies. Seem to be handling the power quite well. Im impressed.

Great speaker, great sound, right price
After doing a lot of research I decided to go with these sub woofers. I replaced 2 blown Peavey 1801-8 with these and I was thoroughly impressed. Great bass response. My PA towers get used once a week so I don't know how well they would hold up in a professional environment where they were used daily but for my application I have no issues what so ever. I will definitely be using Rockville's to replace some blown 15's I have in another cabinet.

Home theater and audiophile enthusiast
Wow! Got myself two of these 8 ohms subwoofers to my behringer dsp amp. Room size reference is a standard 2 car garage that's been converted. I built the boxes 22H×30W×17D SEALED with adequate bracing leaving about 5.25 cubic feet net internal volume. I used the DSP in the receiver to help lower the large 35 to 70hz hump to match the 20 hz level. Wow! I got these to sound great with music as well as home theater! And yes! Plenty of punch and thunderous push and vibration all the way down to 20hz! Intense! This is because of their size, and using two of them. I went with sealed because I wanted the bass response to be quicker to help make up for their cheapness and size, and it worked out nice! Best part is if one ever damages or fails I wouldn't mind slapping $114 down for another, easy replacement! I've played with many subs from Stereo Integrity and a few SVS models 15 inch models. Yes those subs do sound just a little more smoother and quicker with music. But after AB testing and hearing the results for movies I don't hear I'm missing much at all. The sound is quality enough and I'm getting more bass, again these are 18s! For 114 bucks a pop! A true gem/hack.

Great option for a Behringer subwoofer driver replacement
One of my Behringer B1800X sub drivers suddenly betrayed me, developing a heartbreaking open across the voice coil. The cost of a replacement coil was steep—$100 just for the part—and the process to replace the coil was daunting, filled with uncertainty. I knew that if I made a mistake, all my efforts might be for nothing. It felt like a gamble, a battle against time and money, and I was on the verge of losing hope. Then, a glimmer of temptation appeared in the form of an 18" Rockville. With rave reviews echoing like a chorus of reassurance, I felt a flicker of hope igniting inside me. For about the same price of a voice coil replacement, this seemingly perfect alternative beckoned—an opportunity to breathe new life into my beloved system. Risking it all, I took the plunge and purchased a "used-like new" Rockville subwoofer from a third-party vendor, spending less than $70. The product container was blemished, yes, but the subwoofer itself radiated that untouched, pristine quality—no signs of wear, no evidence of mounting. It was my first Rockville purchase, and I confess, I tend to be picky with my audio gear—trained to expect a certain pedigree, wary of disappointment. But the price was compelling enough to soften my stubborn standards, so I rolled the dice. When I held the Rockville in my hands, I was struck by how astonishingly similar it was to the Behringer. The basket and magnet—identical in every detail save for the basket color—made my heart pound with hope. Its weight felt equal, no difference by hand. The only physical differences I could see were the coating on the cone—something the Behringer lacked—and the Rockville surround with one less rib, though its ribs were slightly wider. The screw-down wire terminations on the Rockville were a nice touch, good quality too, whereas the Behringer had spade connections. Everything lined up perfectly—the mounting holes, the bolts—they fit flawlessly, as if it was meant to be. I required no enclosure modifications as the mounting holes lined up perfectly - which was critical as the Behringer enclosure has threaded tee nuts for the driver mount. The insertion and securing process was straightforward, almost effortless, reaffirming that I might just have found a true replacement. I was able to do an A/B test with another Behringer B1800X. By ear, I could only discern a slight efficiency difference with the Behringer being a bit more efficient, but it was easily correctable running a multi-sub setup. That being said, one could always get equal output levels adjusting sub amp input or output settings - but the amp will work slightly more to get it - but it is slight. Maybe I'll do some sweeps with a mic and REW to see if any other significant differences exist. I did not hear any other by ear. Low extension was similar, mid bass punch was comparable. Let's see if this thing will handle the rigors of Thursday night frat parties. Overall, for what I paid, this is a tremendous option. I'm satisfied with the quality and ecstatic with the value. This Rockville kept me from having to either attempt a repair for the same price or fork out hundreds replacing the entire subwoofer unit while still making use of a perfectly good enclosure. Highly recommended for a low price replacement for a failed subwoofer driver.

Pretty Fire
Not gonna lie but these things pound some clean bass👍🏼If you want clean, between 32hz-120hz bass and then get them. I have 4 and custom made enclosures, each pair ran on a crown 1502 amp and they have blown me away especially for the price!!! Sometimes the crown amps tend to clip a bit but these things love that power especially being clean power and run cool👍🏼 each sub is receiving about 400-475 rms and amp is running of course on bridge at 4ohms. These amps can give you a band pass filter which is awesome!! but i have them at 37.5hz to 125hz and they are more then happy to run all night so far not complaints and have used them about 12 times 5 hour edm and hiphop parties nonstop. Sound very similar to 2 jbl srx dual 18’s with the custom made boxes. highly recommended for a project!! Get a pair and feed it the right power and a good enclosure and you will not be disappointed.

For the money it’s a good sub
Using this in a home studio with an acoustic drum set present. It is loud enough to balance out the noise of a full kit so it’s perfect. I would reccomend this if you are looking for something to use at home with a full size PA or in a gig between 300-500 people. Note: make sure you have solid tweeter speakers(800watts) minimum each otherwise this sub will overpower them.

Replaced this on my Electro Voice ETX-18SP Subwoofer. It sounds better and hit harder. Great Product and Excellent Price. Will Buy Again

Great sound, especially considering the price. I bought two of these to replace a couple of blown audiosphere research 500watt subs. I would definaetly recommend them to anyone.

First the bad: I ordered 8 of these, one arrived damaged. The magnet was separated from the basket. While Rockville’s packaging was acceptable if handled reasonably, the speakers arrived in a much larger amazon box with two pieces of brown shipping paper inside. The inner box was flopping around in the amazon packaging. The good: Amazon and Rockville were quick to make good on it and sent me another quickly and free of charge. The build: The box makes or breaks a speaker... theoretical optimum for these drivers works out to 25’^3 per driver, way too big to actually build something that size. I found a good compromise was two drivers in 20’^3 which gave me a good response curve extending well down into the low 20’s hz range. My internal box volume was almost exactly 20’^3, ports are 6” internal diameter and 9” long which tuned the box to 33hz. More speakers>more power Surface area moves air! I am powering these with two QSC MX3000a amps 0-120hz 24dB/oct roll off. In this configuration each driver can receive 600w rms. Well under their rated wattage. So far they stay cool at this power level, no excessive cone excursion observed. Results: Impressive, deep kick drum you can feel in your chest and through the concrete floor. I had to build lips on the shelves in the building as everything was vibrating off. The system can easily irritate neighbours who live a country mile away... Now I gotta get a forklift to put them on their shelf...
