Nice quality audio!
Okay so first of all this is a great audio interface, I’ve used it for around 3 years now with no major issues. I’ve use this in old macs, pc and an m4 Mac mini. Pros -The analog converters are great and high quality. -It has 3.5 and 6.3mm connectors which is nice. -The loop back option is very handy. -The build quality feels good, knobs specially feel very good. Cons -The headphone output leaves a lot to be desired, if you have demanding headphones you’ll definitely need an amp. -The printed logos on the interface started to disappear, they are not durable at all. -Probably the biggest con, there is not a switch that allows you to go from headphones to monitors, you can only mute the monitors but that’s not really that useful. Overall great product, If I had to buy an audio interface again I may take a look into the volt interfaces but this one is a top contender.

Wow!
I decided to upgrade from Scarlett 2i2 to ID4 MKII seeing reviews/hearing samples...but it blew me away at the very first tone I sang. The clarity of the tone, the smoothness of it, the natural response completely enveloped me. I have it paired with Sennheiser MK4 large diaphragm condenser mic and it sounds amazing thru reference headphones or speakers in my small recording studio. The recordings made in the studio were equally crystal clear, natural tone and beautiful. The gain of the interface paired very nicely with the MK4 mic, at about 60%. The clarity of headphone output and powerful level of it is outstanding. However...somehow I found it flat in a live performance in open space paired with Sennheiser dynamic E835 mic. Not sure why...but same setup/mic/speaker/gain was much crisper and pronounced with Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, with or without its pretty Air mode. I use a USB interface to both record live but also as my solo mixer with top notch quality preamps into stage speakers. So while I was looking for a replacement interface for both studio and live setups, I've discovered that Focusrite just sounded better for live performance to me, whereas Audient ID4 MKII sounded amazing for studio and recordings. Perhaps my dynamic mics benefited more from brightness of Scarlett, especially when using its Air mode. So for Audient ID4 MKII: A++ Winner!!!! best I've tried to date for studio use/recordings! Portable size: A+. Preamps quality A++. Gain/Dynamic Range for Condenser Mics: A+ Headphones level/clarity: A+. Latency for DAW monitoring: A. (32MB buffer was maximum without the doubling/latency effect @48kHz for my setup).

Best interface quality in price range
This is one of the best sounding interfaces I have ever used. No interface is beating it in its price range in terms of pure sound. Where it does fall short ( and it wasn't an issue for my needs) is few inputs and low headphone output. The latter was solved using a headphone amp. If you need more inputs, I would reccomend the next level up.

My Secret Weapon for Home Recording
The Audient iD4 MKII is an absolutely fantastic audio interface that punches far above its weight class, delivering genuinely professional sound quality in a rugged, compact desktop package. The Class A console microphone preamp is the star of the show, providing incredible clarity and clean gain that makes my vocal and acoustic recordings sound rich and detailed, while the JFET instrument input gives my guitar a fantastic analog warmth for amp simulation. With its ultra-low latency, the convenient ScrollControl function for controlling DAW plugins, and the powerful dual headphone outputs, the iD4 MKII has provided a massive, noticeable upgrade to my home studio workflow and the final quality of my music.

Fantastic interface but with the same flaws as the ID4. Can't give this a 5 anymore.
The Audient ID4 Mark 2 is a fantastic audio interface but it has the exact same flaws of the Audient ID4. Audient, in general, has a ONE KNOB RULES ALL sort of mentality. And it can be very frustrating. The Audient ID4 Mark 2 doesn't really save your audio settings for your headphones if you switch from computer to computer. It's all digital. Each time you turn off your computer or unplug your interface you have to set all the settings all over again. It's not like the MOTU M2 or the Scarlett Solo/2i2 or the SSL2 where the knobs are physical and there are individual knobs for each settting. Just like the Audient EVO4, the ID4 Mark 2 doesn't keep your settings. In fact, there's no real way to really save your headphone settings. You sort of "earball" them and that's a dealbreaker for me. The fact I have to keep rolling the knob until I hit between -12 and -6 is poor functionality. I should have the same settings no matter where I go and no matter what computer I use. And it's unfortunate because aside from that, this is almost a perfect audio interface. Great preamps. Lots of gain range. Low self-noise. Perfect for anything needed in voiceover. Great sounding preamps, one of the best ranked headphone amps according to Julian Krause's reviews. Extremely quiet preamps in terms of self-noise. Overall almost a perfect package but I really, really, really dislike the One Knob setup of Audient interfaces so I can't give it a 5. Give me an ID4 where I can move it to any computer and all my settings are saved. It's for this reason I can't whole heartedly recommend it because I personally prefer physical knobs for everything. PS I'm not Lone Mongel. He's another person. Just noticed he has some of the same interfaces as me but we are different people.

Ganz Klare Kaufempfehlung.
