Uncle Harry's Natural Tooth Powder (240ml)

This is the most effective tooth product I’ve tried, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve been using this product for years and have converted many friends and family members away from conventional toothpastes. Since using this product, I almost never get cavities anymore, and for years I struggled with root canals and gingivitis. Eventually after doing a lot of research on my own, I learned that it was the glycerin in conventional toothpaste that was causing my tooth problems. Glycerin is a sweet, sticky substance and is a byproduct of the soap industry. It’s removed from natural soap because of its humectant properties and the manufacturers make more money by selling it to skin care companies to add to their creams and lotions. Added to toothpaste, it adds sweetness and a smooth texture, however it is not a desirable ingredient, it actually causes plaque because it’s so sticky and cannot be easily removed from your teeth. Toothpaste manufacturers won’t tell you that and dentists seem to be ignorant of this, or they don’t say anything because there’s no business in it for them if your teeth and gums are healthy. Now when I go to the dentist, he wonders why my mouth and gums are so much healthier. Since he swears by fluoride (another product to stay away from), I just tell him it’s the water pic I’m using, it’s easier for him to swallow. I do want to note that all tooth powders are not created equally. I recently heard about Frau Fowler’s tooth products and thought I would give them a try. I was very disappointed in their product. The main ingredient is baking soda, a cheap ingredient, and they add sweeteners (stevia and xylitol), which are supposed to give it flavor. After a few days of using it, I developed mouth sores. Uncle Harry’s is a very strong flavored product and takes some getting used to, but the pure essential oils and mustard seed powder they use are so beneficial for our oral health, you just use a lot less. Yes it’s salty at first, give yourself time to adjust. It’s not supposed to taste like candy, but it will make your mouth and teeth fresh and clean, you have to try it to believe it. An 8 oz bottle of tooth powder lasts me about 8-9 months. My only complaint is that Amazon stopped selling the tooth powder on Prime, so I’m now ordering directly from Uncle Harry’s website, where it is about half the price. I have no affiliation with Uncle Harry’s company, just trying to help others who have had a lifetime of tooth and gum issues like me. Give this tooth powder a try for 6 months and see what your dentist says on your next visit. Just remember to tell him you’ve been using a water pic, because he won’t believe it’s because you stopped using fluoride toothpaste.

Surprised I'm writing a review about tooth powder, but this product really helped me. Specifically, I no longer have the sensitivity I had with other brands. Overall great product for maintaining good oral hygiene. Also, not much tooth powder is required per brushing, so great value as well.

I love this toothpaste. I was unsure about it at first because the flavor is so different than other toothpaste, but now I love it. My teeth just feel so clean and my mouth feels so fresh. I started using this shortly after a dentist visit where the dental assistant told me I must not have good teeth genes. Which is funny. I never had issues with my teeth when I was younger but in the last couple of years my teeth have started to have issues. I’d go in to the dentist and they’d find many small cavities that they were keeping an eye on. About six months after using this toothpaste, I went back to the dentist and they said my teeth were great. No mention of any problem areas all! I ran of this toothpaste last month and started using some of the stuff I was using previously and I was amazed at how NOT clean my teeth felt with the other brand. I’m so glad I found this powder. I wish I could convince all of my kids to use it.

I've been a tooth powder user for the past few years after conventional brand tube toothpastes left me with cavities and were just not cleaning well. But since starting tooth powders made with clay and having my first cavity free cleaning in 20+ years, I'm a convert! My dentist was amazed at the quality of change in my teeth, they were cleaner, shades lighter (had to repair a cracked filling and needed a different color from the old filling), and I actually had re-mineralization in some "watch areas". He told me to keep doing what I was doing, and for someone with a lifetime of bad dental visits that was fantastic to hear. Now since my old brand of tooth powder (Dirty Mouth) keeps increasing the cost for incredibly small amounts of product and harassing me for positive reviews, I started looking at other brands and settled on Uncle Harry's, because unlike so many other brands it doesn't have artificial sweeteners in it. So with Uncle Harry's you get probably a year's worth of product for the same price I was paying for a couple month's worth of another brand. Also do yourself a favor, empty a small amount into a secondary container like a baby food jar, because the bottle it comes in is lolwut. Now I can say this product does great...my teeth are left super clean, shiny, and fuzz-free hours and hours after brushing. That said, I'm going to detract a star due to the unbelievable saltiness of this product. Does there have to be THAT much salt in it? Does there even need to be salt in it at all? Holy heck, it burns! My gums peeled a layer off! The flavor profile is a bit like an overbearing mish-mash of Vicks Vapo Rub, Halls cough drops, and Listerine while rubbing your face in a pot of fresh oregano...and while not entirely undesirable, it is a bit overpowering.
