Stock Market Explained: A Beginner's Guide to Investing and Trading in the Modern Stock Market (Personal Finance and Investing)

Hey all, my name is Matt (writing this under my wife's account because that is where I bought it)...where to begin!? As the headline states, this is THE book for all types of investors/traders looking to start or build their knowledge. I come from a background of NOTHING in this field and even my friends who have been investing & trading for years did not know some of the things I brought up after reading this book. The book is not long and the author uses very plain language to make it easier to understand; there is no "fluff" in the best way. It only made me want to learn more, preferably from this author and anything else he recommends. The market is no longer intimidating to me (although I know there is so much more to learn). I looked at other books, their reviews, and the ideas those books contain...dozens of them...until I found this one and it was an immediate purchase; after reading I knew I made the right choice. At the very end, the author even gives his email address for his readers to reach out to make comments, join his newsletter, receive some supplemental information, and answer any questions. I almost never leave reviews, and I definitely wouldn't normally reach out like that, but I did. Despite what I can only assume is a hectic schedule, he replied within 1 business day! He answered some lingering questions and it felt like a very personal response which I appreciated greatly. BUY this book if you are like me and don't know where to begin...or if you have been around a while and need a refresher.

This was an amazing book, well written, and very easy to read. I had no knowledge at all about stocks, however after reading this book, I am definitely way more confident to speak to other people about stocks. I highly recommend this book and will be telling all my friends and family about it. Thanks Ardi. You’re the man.

The book had both day and swing trading strategies. I found that engaging. It also had both fundamental and technical approaches that intermediate traders like myself, Look for in investment books.

I’m a business major in my final year of studies. I have an academic background in finance and I’ve gained experience in the industry through internships. This book isn’t for beginners. Yes it is simplifying a lot of the finance industry, but the reality is that a person with no knowledge of basic finance, economics, accounting, and business operations will have a very tough time reading this book. Even with its simplified explanations, it’s not easy to read if you have no background. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, as it was a complement to my classes and work experiences, but I cannot recommend this book for people with no knowledge of finance coming in. I would recommend finding other books that really start from scratch. My 2 cents.

I just finished reading this book for a 3rd time. Each time I read it I enjoy it more, seem to get more out of it and also understand the concepts even better. I highly recommend this book. It is written in an intelligent and easy to understand manner. If you have any interest in stock market concepts, trading, and or investing then please do yourself a favor and read this book.

Although, mentioned by the author, this book is only the starting foundation and knowledge for us the readers to learn and have an understanding about the Stock Market. I've seen negative reviews about the book, that hence the idea of reading a single book, will make them rich in a instance. If you believe that one book will do the greatest of miracles and make you rich, then you will be wrong. It takes time and patience to understand something, but it's harder to understand something fully, especially with lack of education and knowledge. This is a great book for anyone considering how the Stock Market works and I cannot express how much knowledge it gives you, that it actually makes you think and wonder about yourself, the market, and your future. Overall, an outstanding book and a great read.

I’m 92 pages into it and haven’t really learned anything I don’t know already. I’m a new trader. Biggest issue I have is the amount of mistakes in the book like I don’t think anyone proof read it.
