Vaultz Locking Storage Chest/Dorm Storage with Combination Locks, Black with Batman (VZ03913)

We keep electronic goods in here overnight until after school. It's big enough for 2 13" laptops in sleeves, 2 8" amazon fire tables, mousepad, mouse and (on the other half) our PDP Pull-N-Go Nintendo Switch bag, which is packed pretty full. Our eight-year-old had had some trouble leaving his devices alone. And leaving them in their bag. And not cutting the locks off said bag. He did manage to defeat the cable that attaches this box to a column and he worked out when I'd left it at 000. His brother extracted the first combination from his mother and shared it with him. Since we set the combinations to different numbers, he hasn't gotten in. He did bash one of the combinations hard enough to change the last digit, but that only happened once. He set a fire on top of it, which he subsequently accepted was a mistake; usefully, there's a permanent mark to remind him. He understands that hitting the box too hard would damage the electronics -- this might have been a much more expensive experience with a different child. The note that comes with the box says it's just to dissuade your friends and family from getting into your stuff. I'm pretty sure a crowbar would get me in. But, it works great for us.

I use this box to organize and transport my glitter tattoo stencils to and from festivals. So it gets loaded into and out of my vehicle on a regular basis. It sits on a table in hot and humid weather. It holds up well. I only replaced my last one because cosmetically it didn't look as nice anymore.

The box looks great. Feels sturdy. The only down side of it is the number dial on the combination lock. The font is weird and hard to see. The wheels for the font seems loose and it is hard to see when the numbers are aligned. I wish they had a more sturdy combination lock.

The combination lock wouldn't work after my daughter used it once and her items were stuck inside. We had to pry it open. Waste of money since we bought it for college and didn't use it right away and now the return window has passed.
