This is a great hat. Versatile in its ability to be rolled up for easy packing. It has a wide brim for great sun coverage. The colour was exactly as shown. I am really pleased with the purchase and will consider getting more colours.

Lo estrené en la playa. Adentro de la alberca se mojó un poco por la parte de atrás. El azul manchó las hebras naturales. Parece deslavado. El velcro no funciona bien después de usarlo dos fines de semana. Lo tengo también en negro y con ese no he tenido problemas.

It needed some modification after some trials in wearing. First of all, I roll it up in a manner of fashion and shove it in my purse without undoing the velcro as getting it all set up again is a pain although it is not so compact in doing this. I realize it might not hold its shape eventually doing that too. Secondly, I have a M size head of 22 inches(7 1/8) and found I had to have the hat at a lower level to stay on and feel secure. The problem there is poor visibility which I thought I solved by turning up the front brim of the hat a little. When I was nearly hit by a fast moving car in an intersection crossing a 4 lane road in my busy southern California city because I did not have good lateral vision, I discovered I could turn up the brim a little all around not just in the front and so the hat did not sit too low down no matter what I did and cause the same problem, I now wear a head band with it so I can wear it higher up on my head and it won't get loose and blow off then. I put the headband on and then the hat in usual fashion. I almost sent the hat back when I was almost hit at that intersection but will try again with these modifications. I realize the head band addition does not look great with my haircut but that is only when I take the hat off. It is better than being road kill.

Love me a large sun hat or a good panama hat, but the problem is always my hair. I usually have it up in a high ponytail or bun, so full hats do not really work. These roll up visors are the solution - the FUNCTIONAL solution. I can pack it away in my purse easily and quickly, and when I need it just take it out and wrap it around my head. I like that I can actually adjust the size to my liking ( have larger head (59cm/23 inch) and 99% of hats DO NOT fit). When put together, there's about an inch or so gap between the 2 ends of the hat brim. Now in terms of preserving your hairstyle? I don't think so. You end up just preserving the top and squishing the sides and back of whatever hairstyle you have. Or if your hair is down, you get a dent ring around your head (my hair easily gets creases/bends in it) and still flattens my hair - just not in the sweaty way. And look wise? If you want it to actually look GOOD - get the solid black. Makes the half hat look somewhat chic. I did buy another in the light natural color and it does not look nearly as good as the black, silly even - I mean it's missing half a hat. So overall good hat, especially if you wear your hair up a lot and have a larger head.
