I need a battery for att b183342 that has 550 mah but can't find one. they only have 400 mah. can i use that or a 700 mah?

MAH (mill amp hours) is a measure of the strength of a battery in time, not the voltage or current it develops while working within its charge capabilities. A 700 mah battery will put out its rated energy a little longer than a 600 mah or a 400 mah battery. It will put out 700 milli-amps for one hour under a specific load for one hour, where a 400 milli-amp battery will put out 400 mill-amps under the same load for one hour until it starts loosing it charge below a set level. You can use either a 400, 550, 600 or 700 mah battery. The only difference is that the larger mah battery will last longer on a charge. In a phone that sits in the cradle and is constantly charged, it should make little difference unless you have super extended conversations.

Are these batteries appropriate for replacing at&t ? 3 piece cordless phone set el52315

We ordered these for AT&T phone set el52351 whick looks very similar to yours, and these batteries fit and work fine. Too bad they only sell these in sets of 2 or 4!

is this the right battery for V-Tech CS6729?

Most of the batteries that are shaped like these work in a wide variety of phones. I have a V-Tech 6719 and it was good in there. Problem is they are all made in China and I could not find one with a USA label. Chinese batteries, in general, can be questionable. If you get 2 years out of it, you are doing fine. They are Nickel metal hydride batteries which is a step above Ni-Cads of days gone by.

do i need to charge these first before using?

Yes if your battery discharges fast or is weak Yes but make sure to give them a 8 hr charge before using them.will charge in the deck.
