I recently stocked up on the Merrimen Strong Heavy Duty Brown Packaging Tape, and it has been surprisingly solid. The adhesive is strong enough to seal heavy boxes without worrying about them coming apart, and the rolls are wide and long enough to handle multiple packages without constantly swapping tape. I used it for moving a few heavier items, and the tape held up perfectly — no peeling, no lifting corners. It also tears cleanly when using a tape dispenser, which makes packing faster and less frustrating. My only minor gripe is that the tape can sometimes stick to itself when unrolling, which is a small annoyance, but it’s easy to manage. Overall, it’s dependable, practical, and well worth having on hand if you ship or pack items regularly.

Excellent value for money and a good string tape. I’ve had a lot of issues getting good brown tape, many are very thin and tear way too easily. I have had the odd premature tear, but not many, this is better than most products out there.

Most recent order has changed quality. It used to be really good tape, stuck well, reasonably thick and strong and didn't tear into bits. My last order is thinner and splits when I try to unroll it. It is still sticky but that just means there are lots of little sticky bits on my hands and long tears where I try to take it off the roll.

Difficult to remove tape left a lot of residue. Often split when applying
